Laughlin Has It All
Laughlin is a desert oasis with big-time entertainment, myriad
outdoor recreation and first class accommodations. Nine resort
casinos front the Nevada shoreline of the Colorado River, which
defines the natural border between Nevada and Arizona.
The tourist destination attracts nearly five million visitors
annually with its varied dining, gaming and entertainment offerings;
themed resorts; incredible value; special events and year-round fun.
Visitors seeking affordable first-class accommodations may choose
among myriad venues offering distinctly different experiences. From
a giant paddle wheeler docked on the river's bank, to a steam engine
shuttling guests throughout the property, to a sun-drenched sandy
beach laden with sun worshipers, every resort has its own unique
style, decor and theme.
Each resort features expansive gaming areas lined with poker rooms,
race and sports books and keno lounges. Guests may challenge Lady
Luck on hundreds of live table games and thousands of slot machines,
many of which are linked to International Gaming Technology's
statewide network. Many lucky gamblers have walked away with
eight-figure jackpots.
Room rates range from $25 to $75, depending on availability and the
day of the week. Although visitors passing through Laughlin may find
vacancies, advance room reservations are recommended.
Laughlin offers dining options to suit every taste and budget
attracting a wide variety of guests from the economy-minded
vacationer to the most discerning diner. Travelers may satisfy their
palates with cuisines from around the globe at Laughlin's newest and
largest buffet, or dine in quaint surroundings at an array of indoor
and river-front restaurants. Several resorts also feature gourmet
restaurants.
Headliner entertainment can be enjoyed year-round in Laughlin
cabarets, clubs, showrooms and outdoor concert venues. Regular
entertainers include Debbie Reynolds, Wynonna Judd, Olivia
Newton-John, Jeff Foxworthy and the Beach Boys.
Outdoor enthusiasts will revel in Laughlin's unlimited boating and
recreation choices. The destination's broad selection of outdoor
activities include some of the area's most challenging golf courses,
and water sports ranging from jet skiing to boat tours. Nearby Lake
Mohave is an angler's delight boasting trophy-size striped bass of
up to 50 pounds.
A number of nearby attractions augment a Laughlin getaway with
variety of day-trip options. Just a short drive away, visitors can
catch a glimpse of the region's history. Experience first-hand the
Wild West and see feral burros, staged shoot-outs and shows, tour a
rustic gold mine, hike among Indian petroglyphs or take an exciting
trail ride along a mountain ridge at sunset and steal a breathtaking
view of Las Vegas.
While many visitors travel by car or bus from neighboring cities and
states, Laughlin is an increasingly popular international
destination. The newly expanded Laughlin/Bullhead International
Airport is a full service regional airport with daily flights across
the country. Carriers include Sun Country Airlines, Allegiant Air
and many private charter services. Shuttle services are available to
the destination's resorts.
All Laughlin casinos are concentrated within a two-mile corridor
along the riverfront, allowing visitors to travel via taxi, by foot
along the Riverwalk or by riverboat shuttles. Many resorts provide
RV parking areas with shuttle services to the properties.
