"Salute to the Farmer" was sculpted by Dr. Kenneth Fox in 1977, and is part of Porterville's Bicentennial. The statue is located at the corner of Henderson Avenue and Main Street.

The Barn Theater is California's longest running community theater with live dramatic performances.

Porterville's Main Street offers a wide variety of shops and restaurants. This historical setting is also the location for parades, festivals, and other events held at various times during the year.

The Porterville Fair was founded in 1947. Local 4-H and FFA exhibitors vie for blue ribbons during the Fair, which runs mid-May at the Porterville Fairgrounds on East Olive Avenue near Plano Street.

River Island Country Club, located at 31989 River Island Drive, is a classic Country Club in the foothills of the Sierras, with a championship 18-hole golf course. Memberships are available.

Galaxy 9 Theaters has 9 screens and offers great new releases for your enjoyment. The theater is located at 631 North Indiana Street.
