Mojave Resort Golf Club: A championship course with wide, friendly fairways. Four sets of tees allow golfers to choose their own challenge. The terrain combines native vegetation with in-shaped sand dunes. Designed by Landmark Golf Co., in conjunction with CNC Entertainment Nevada Inc. El Rio Golf and Country Club: New 18-hole championship golf course in Mohave Valley, Arizona. Carved out of the desert in the middle of Mohave Valley, this fabulous facility will become the new standard for desert golf courses in the area. Designed by one of the best of the new generation of golf course architects, Matt Dye, the 7115 yard layout provides a unique blend of challenge and playability to golfers of all skill levels. Chaparral Country Club: Open to the public, this is a nine-hole executive course, par 32, and features a pro shop, practice green, snack bar and golf car rentals. Green fees are everyday 18 Hole $22 or 9 Hole $17. It is 7 miles south of Bullhead City off Highway 95. 1260 E. Mohave Drive (west of Wal-Mart). 928-758-6330.

Desert Lakes Golf Course: Desert Lakes is an 18-hole, par 72 course. Features include a driving range, putting green, rental carts, pro shop, snack bar and professional golf lessons. It is south of the Bullhead City limits approximately 4 miles and is east on Joy Lane from Highway 95. 928-768-1000.

Riverview Resort and Golf Club: Sand traps, lakes and rolling greens make this a challenging nine-hole, par 3 golf course. The Club offers pull carts, electric riding cars and clubs, a pro shop, soft drinks and food. This is the closest golf course to the Laughlin casinos. Green fees are $10.00. Honor box available if Pro Shop is closed. Deposit money and then golf. 2000 E. Ramar Road. Call for tee times. 928-763-1818.

Valle Vista Country Club: This is an 18-hole course located 17 miles east of Kingman on Historic Route 66. The setting is a high desert altitude of 3500 feet, surrounded by mountains which lends to the mild winters and temperate summers for year around enjoyment. This par 72 championship golf course measures 6266 yards and offers a Clubhouse complete with Pro Shop, Snack Bar and a members Bar & Lounge. Green fees are $32.00 before 10:00 a.m., $25.00 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and $18.00 after 3:00 p.m. and all fees include a cart. Cerbat Cliffs: 18-hole course meticulously maintained. Tough, tight fairways and sculpted tees. Set beneath the rough hewn terra cotta plateaus of northwestern Arizona. Fully enclosed driving range, chipping and putting greens. Enjoy an icy beverage or a Trevino burger in the Sand Trap Restaurant after your day of golfing. The Pro Shop carries a full line of professional equipment and apparel from Calloway Clubs to Pal Joey and Spalding accessories Green fees are $28.00 weekday $30.00 weekends and a $10.00 cart rental. Take Interstate 40 to Falcon Hill exit (second exit past Kingman). Go left on Falcon Hill a half mile to course.

Rivers Edge Golf Course: best deal! This is a public course offering 18 holes of challenging (par 71) golf owned and operated by the City of Needles, CA. For your convenience, we have motorized carts, pull carts, and a snack bar. For beginners, we offer golf lessons from your choice of two PGA Members, and for practice we also have a practice green and a lighted driving range. For the winter months we offer a couple of twilight specials for those that want to take advantage of a later, warmer tee time. Until the end of December the first twilight time begins at 10:00 (CA) and is $32.00 which includes the cart rental. The months of January-March the twilight time goes to 12:00 and is $37.00. These save as much as $10.00 of the regular rates. A super twilight rate at 2:00 is $15.00 plus the standard cart rental rate. The summer twilight is the best deal of all. after 12:00 it is $19.00 for all the golf you can play, with a cart.

Rivers Edge Golf Course has the most reasonable rates in the tri state area. Green fee rates are as follows:

Willow Spring Golf Course: This nine-hole, par 3 course, is a walking course which offers pull carts and club rentals. It has natural grass turf and a driving range. The course is 12 miles south of the Bullhead City limits on Highway 95. 8011 Highway 95, Mohave Valley. 928-768-4414.

Laughlin Ranch Golf Club: One of the Southwest's newest entries on the golf scene, Laughlin Ranch Golf Club, promises to be a layout to remember. Playing 7,297 from the tips, the Dave Druzisky 18-hole design located in Bullhead City, Ariz., will be all the golf test players can handle. Three par 5's play more than 600 yards including the finale, a 625-yard challenge that promises to be a knee-knocker. 1360 William Hardy Dr. Bullhead City, AZ 86429. 928-754-1243.
