INJURY ACCIDENT – MEADVIEW

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Lester Duaine Payne III, 23, of Meadview, early Saturday (4/29) afternoon for aggravated assault and theft, felonies, along with driving with a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Deputies responded to a single vehicle accident involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Surf Spray Drive and Coral Isle Drive Saturday (4/29) afternoon. Approximately 2:05 p.m., deputies responded to the accident scene and contacted a firefighter from the Grapevine Mesa Fire Department. The GMFD firefighter said that a pedestrian, 15-year-old female victim, of Dolan Springs, was airlifted to University Medical Center in Nevada by Mercy Air. The victim is currently listed in serious condition. The single occupant of the 1994 Dodge Truck was driven by Payne. Deputies contacted Payne. During conversations with Payne, he said that he applied the brakes in the truck and the vehicle would not stop. Further conversations with Payne, he said that he saw three pedestrians walking and he was yelling at them to get out of the way. Deputies knew the truck belonged to another person. Deputies contacted the owner of the truck, a 74-year-old male victim. The victim said that he left his truck with Payne’s parents and that Payne did not have permission to drive his vehicle to Meadview. A record check showed Payne to have a suspended driver’s license. Payne was taken into custody without incident. Payne was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kristina Raielyn Livingston, 27, of Fort Mohave, Saturday (4/29) afternoon on two misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear issued by Bullhead City Municipal Court and interfering with judicial proceedings issued by Bullhead City Justice Court. Approximately 2:56 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 4500 block of Highway 95. Deputies contacted Livingston and a record check showed Livingston to have outstanding warrants. Livingston was taken into custody without incident. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

AGGRAVATED DUI – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Scott Francis Bell, 43, of Bullhead City, early Saturday (4/29) evening for aggravated DUI, a felony. Approximately 5:10 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 at Laguna Road and contacted Bell, the driver. Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol coming from inside the vehicle. During conversations with Bell, he admitted to have been drinking. Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Bell was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County District II. A record check showed Bell’s drivers license to be suspended. He was booked into the jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

DUI – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Donald James Quill, 49, of Trabuco Canyon, Calif., early Sunday (4/30) morning for DUI and DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08%, misdemeanors. Deputies observed a golf cart traveling eastbound on Kingsley Street with no head lights. Approximately 1:00 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of Kingsley Street and contacted Quill, the driver. Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Quill. Deputies observed a partially consumed beer in the cup holder. During conversations with Quill, he admitted to have been drinking. Quill was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County District II Substation where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .128%. He was booked into the jail without incident.

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jeffrey Alan Schoonmaker, 20, of Rockford, Michigan, early Sunday (4/30) morning for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Approximately 3:00 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1100 block of Beale Street and contacted Schoonmaker, the driver. Deputies smelled an odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Deputies observed a half smoked marijuana cigarette sitting in the middle console area. A search of the vehicle revealed a plastic bag containing marijuana and a pipe with a strong odor of marijuana coming from it. Schoonmaker was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – DESERT HILLS

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Aaron Gabriel Skill, 30, of Desert Hills, early Sunday (4/30) evening for criminal damage/domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Approximately 6:43 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic violence call in the 1900 block of Hubbell Drive and contacted the 36-year-old female victim. The victim reported that she and her boyfriend, Skill, had been drinking and arguing throughout the day. The victim further reported that Skill became upset and punched the bathroom door, causing damage to the door. Deputies observed a hold in the bathroom door. Deputies contacted Skill and took him into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN SHORES

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Lee Eagle, 52, of Golden Shores, Friday (4/28) morning on a felony warrant for taking identity of another, sexual assault and failure to register as sex offender issued out of North Mesa Court in Maricopa County. Approximately 9:35 a.m., deputies contacted Eagle in the 4800 block of Tara Drive regarding his outstanding warrant. Eagle was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

DRUGS – OATMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Keith Allen Grundman, 55, of Anchorage, AK., and Steven Craig Rasic, 49, of Eagle River, AK., early Friday (4/28) evening. Grundman and Rasic were each arrested for possession of marijuana, felonies. As deputies were on walking patrol on Main Street, they smelled an odor of burnt marijuana in the air. Further investigations, led them to a nearby alley way near the Olive Oatman Saloon where they observed two male subjects facing one another. Deputies further observed one of the male subjects smoking a rolled marijuana cigarette. Deputies contacted both subjects identified as Grundman and Rasic. During conversations with Grundman, he admitted to smoking the marijuana cigarette in public and also having another marijuana cigarette in his front pocket. Deputies removed the marijuana cigarette from Grundmans’ pocket. Grundman and Rasic were taken into custody without incident. Grundman and Rasic were transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Wayne Norman Merritt, 42, of Mohave Valley, Friday (4/28) evening for disorderly conduct/domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Approximately 10:00 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 1400 block of Camino Viejo and contacted the 42-year-old female victim. The victim reported that she and her husband, Merritt, had been arguing throughout the day. The victim further reported that Merritt grabbed a knife and threatened to cut the dogs’ throat. The victim also said that Merritt threw a lamp and broke it. Merritt was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

BURGLARY – GOLDEN VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Raymond Lamb, 30, of Kingman, Friday (4/28) evening for burglary and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Approximately 10:40 p.m., deputies responded to a burglary call in the 3300 block of Shinarump Drive and contacted the reporting party. The reporting party said that he observed a male subject standing in his neighbors’ yard and he knew that his neighbors weren’t home. The reporting party further said that he approached the male subject, later identified as Lamb, and observed him holding a tool case, a rifle case and a plastic jar full of change. The reporting party said that Lamb dropped the items and he chased Lamb into the desert. Kingman Ranger helicopter responded and assisted with the search of Lamb. Deputies confirmed that the residence had been burglarized. A short time later, the Kingman Ranger crew located Lamb hiding in the desert, approximately 100 yards south of the intersection of Shinarump Drive and Mohave Trails Road. Lamb was taken into custody without incident. A search of Lamb revealed a glass pipe with residue. A record check showed Lamb to have a misdemeanor warrant for assault issued by Kingman Municipal Court. Deputies contacted the homeowner, a 71-year-old male victim. The victim reported that he hired Lamb earlier during the week to help him around his residence. Lamb was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. Approximately $1,070.00 of items were stolen from the residence and recovered at the scene.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joe Vera Jr., 43, of Needles, Calif., early Saturday (4/29) morning for aggravated assault/domestic violence, endangerment/domestic violence and leaving the scene of an accident with injuries, all felonies. On April 22nd, deputies responded to an injury accident in the area of Aqua View and Fremont Road where they contacted the 29-year-old female victim. The victim reported that her husband, Vera ran over her lower left leg with their truck and left the scene. Deputies contacted a witness. The witness reported that she observed Vera run over the victims’ leg. The witness further reported that Vera stopped the vehicle on the victims’ leg. An ATL (Attempt to Locate) was issued to local law enforcement for Vera and the truck. Medical responded and transported the victim to Needles hospital where the victim was treated and released. Approximately 12:13 a.m., deputies contacted Vera in the 1900 block of Plantation and took him into custody without incident. During conversations with Vera, he admitted to running over the victim and he left the scene because he thought the victim was not injured. Vera was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

ESCAPE/DRUGS – DOLAN SPRINGS

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Sadie Magnolia Barth, 25, of Dolan Springs, late Saturday (4/29) morning for escape, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and a warrant for dangerous drug violation issued by Kingman Justice Court, all felonies. Deputies observed Barth sitting in the front passenger seat of a parked van at a market in the 15900 block of Pierce Ferry Road. Deputies knew Barth to have an outstanding warrant. Approximately 11:00 a.m., deputies contacted Barth and took her into custody without incident. Deputies escorted Barth into the patrol vehicle. A record check confirmed Barth’s warrant. Deputies returned to the parked van and searched the immediate area where Barth was sitting and located a glass pipe and a plastic bag containing marijuana. Deputies returned to the patrol vehicle and Barth informed deputies that there was something in the seat where she was sitting. Deputies had Barth exit the patrol vehicle and had her stand by the side of the vehicle. Deputies located a glass vial containing a white crystal substance. As deputies were taking possession of the glass vial, Barth began walking toward the rear of the patrol vehicle and deputies ordered Barth to stop. Barth began running and deputies detained her approximately 100 yards from the patrol vehicle. Barth was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without further incident.

INJURY ACCIDENT – TOPOCK

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an accident that occurred on Highway 66 at milepost 1.5 near the Topock Marina late Friday (4/28) morning. At about 11:34 a.m. deputies responded to the scene of where a driver of a 2006 Harley Davidson Softail motorcycle failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway and hit the soft shoulder. The single occupant on the motorcycle was driven by Nancy Guedea, of Corona, California. Golden Shores Fire Department responded and transported Guedea to the Needles Hospital where she was treated and released. Nancy Guedea’s husband was following closely behind her on a motorcycle. Guedea’s husband laid his motorcycle down softly on the shoulder of the roadway without injuries.

FATAL ACCIDENT – GOLDEN VALLEY

On April 28, 2006 at approximately 0330 hours Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies contacted two male juveniles on Highway 93 near MP 60. The juveniles reported being involved in a traffic accident on a dirt road near by. The juveniles reported that the driver was pinned underneath the vehicle. Officers were able to locate the vehicle a short time later on Legend Ranch Rd., which runs off Highway 93. The vehicle, a 1991 Eagle Talon, had been involved in a roll over crash and the driver, a 17 year old male, was pinned under the vehicle. Golden Valley FD responded and extricated the subject but he was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation is on-going but it appears the driver was not wearing a seat belt which resulted in his being ejected from the vehicle. Speed may be a contributing factor. The two juvenile passengers received only minor injuries and were treated and released at the scene. The name of the driver is being withheld pending the notification of next of kin.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested David Earl Still, 32, of Lake Havasu City, on Wednesday (4/26) for aggravated assault, burglary, criminal damage, all felonies and domestic violence/disorderly conduct, misdemeanor. At approximately 8:30 am, deputies responded to a residence in the 1000 block of Lake Side Road and contacted the 26 year-old female victim and the 40 year-old male victim. Both victims advised that Still was at the residence causing a disturbance. The male victim told Still he needed to leave the residence. Still left the residence and returned a short time later with a baseball bat and began to break the side window out of the male victims pickup truck. The victims advised that Still approached the residence and continued to break windows with the baseball bat. The victims told deputies that Still entered the residence and hit the male victim in the head. The victims told deputies that before Still left the property, he went back to the victims pickup truck and broke the windshield, using the baseball bat. On Thursday (4/27) at approximately 9:30 am, Still arrived at the Mohave County Sheriff’s District III Sub-station and requested to speak to someone regarding the incident. After speaking with deputies, Still was taken into custody without incident. Still was booked into the Mohave County Jail.

FELONY WARRANT – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Rick Allen Coss, 46, of Kingman, on Tuesday (4/25) afternoon on a fugitive from justice warrant, a felony. Deputies were contacted by officials from Elkhorn, Wisconsin and advised of the warrant. At approximately 11:00 am, deputies responded to a residence in the 3700 block of Lum Avenue and contacted Coss. A record check confirmed the warrant. Coss was taken into custody without incident. Coss was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Curtis George Babcock, 50, of Mohave Valley on Thursday (4/27) evening for possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony. At approximately 5:30 pm, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Camp Mohave Road and Calle Del Media. Deputies contacted the driver, identified as Babcock. While speaking with Babcock, deputies observed a metal pipe with residue inside the vehicle. Babcock was taken into custody without incident. Babcock was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Sub-station.

WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Carol Anne Smiler, 43, of Bullhead City, Thursday (4/27) night on two outstanding warrants. At approximately 8:30 pm, deputies contacted Smiler in the area of Highway 95 and Camino Colorado. A record check showed Smiler to have two felony warrants for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, both issued by Bullhead City Justice Court. Smiler was taken into custody without incident. Smiler was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Sub-station.

DRUGS – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ricky James Moran, 42 and Amber Marie Blum, 30, both of Fort Mohave on Thursday (4/27) evening. Moran was arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Blum was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. At approximately 11:00 pm, deputies contacted Moran and Blum at a residence in the 1300 block of Camp Mohave Road. A record check showed Moran to have a felony warrant for forgery issued by Mohave County Superior Court. The check also showed Blum to have a felony failure to appear warrant also issued by Mohave County Superior Court. While detaining Moran and Blum, deputies observed a usable amount of marijuana, rolling papers and a marijuana pipe near the area where Moran was seated. A search also revealed Blum to have a piece of PVC pipe containing a substance that field tested positive for methamphetamine. Moran and Blum were taken into custody without incident. Both were transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Sub-station.

7X’S THEFT – MEADVIEW

Mohave County Sheriff's detectives arrested Michele Marie Keegan, 37, of Meadview, early Tuesday (4/25) afternoon on 7 counts of theft, felonies. Detectives responded to the Meadview Post Office regarding a report of theft on March 7th. Detectives contacted the contracted owner of the post office. The owner reported that many money orders were missing and several of the missing money orders had been cashed. Investigations led detectives to suspect an employee of the post office identified as Keegan. At about 11:45 a.m., detectives contacted Keegan at a residence in the 400 block of Tusayan Drive. During conversations with Keegan, she denied knowledge that the money orders were missing. Keegan was taken into custody without incident. Keegan was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Richard Allen Goldman, 41, of Mohave Valley, Wednesday (4/26) afternoon for aggravated domestic violence, a felony. Approximately 2:00 p.m., deputies responded to an assault call in the 600 block of Gordon Drive and contacted the 54-year-old female victim. The victim reported that her ex-boyfriend, Goldman, grabbed her by her hair, pulling out a large amount of hair, and he grabbed her finger breaking it. Goldman left the scene prior to the deputy’s arrival. Deputies located Goldman one block away, standing in a front yard. Goldman was taken into custody without incident. Goldman was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. The victim was transported to Valley View Medical Center for her injuries.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff's detectives arrested Kenneth Leon Collins, 43, of Kingman, Wednesday (4/26) afternoon on a probation violation felony warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court and a disorderly conduct misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court. Detectives observed Collins in the area of Diagonal Way and Baker Drive. Detectives knew Collins to have outstanding warrants. Approximately 2:34 p.m., detectives attempted to contact Collins as he took off. Detectives located Collins hiding under a house in the 4300 block of Baker Drive. Collins was taken into custody without incident. A record check confirmed Collins warrants. Collins was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff's detectives arrested Brandy Marie Lee Abarca, 35, of Kingman, early Wednesday (4/26) evening on a probation violation felony warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court. Detectives observed Abarca outside a residence in the area 3500 block of Ryan Avenue and knew that she has an outstanding warrant. Approximately 6:25 p.m., detectives contacted Abarca and took her into custody without incident. A record check confirmed Abarca warrant. Abarca was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Samuel Anthony Rowland, 27, of Lake Havasu City, Wednesday (4/26) evening on a fugitive from justice felony warrant issued out of Orange County, California. Deputies were given information that Rowland, a wanted felon out of Orange County, was at the launch ramp at Windsor State Beach. Approximately 7:39 p.m., deputies responded and contacted Rowland, who was taken into custody without incident during a high risk arrest. Rowland is Orange County’s most wanted by the District Attorneys Office with a bail amount of $1 million. Rowland was transported to the Mohave County District II Substation and later transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE – DESERT HILLS

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Clyde William Smith Jr., 43, of Ridgecrest, Calif., late Wednesday (4/26) evening for criminal damage, a felony. Approximately 10:40 p.m., deputies responded to a criminal damage report at Highway 95 and Interstate 40. Deputies contacted a 49-year-old male victim at the eastbound ramp of Interstate 40. The victim reported that a male subject, later identified as Smith, threw rocks at his Semi-truck and broke two windshields. Deputies observed the split windshield to each have a baseball size hole. Deputies contacted Smith. During conversations with Smith, he said that he denied all involvement in the matter. Deputies observed Smith talking further without making any sense. Smith was taken into custody without incident. Smith was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

DRUGS – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff's detectives arrested Jimmy Dene Correll, 32, of Kingman, Tuesday (4/25) morning for a suspended driver’s license and a warrant for failure to appear issued by Kingman Justice Court, misdemeanors. Approximately 7:50 a.m., detectives conducted a traffic stop at Diagonal Way and Able Drive. Detectives knew the driver identified as Correll to have felony drug charges and a suspended driver’s license. A record check confirmed Correll‘s driver’s license to be suspended and revealed an outstanding warrant. Correll was taken into custody without incident. Correll was also charged with possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, related to an incident late last year where detectives located a plastic bag containing methamphetamine and a glass pipe on Correll. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report at the Mohave County Jail on Tuesday (4/25) due to an assault charge by an inmate. Approximately 2:10 p.m., deputies spoke with the victim, a Detention Officer, and he reported that John David Kumpitsch, 44, of Kingman, spit directly into his face. Deputies contacted Kumpitsch. During conversations with Kumpitsch, he said that he accidentally spit on the Detention Officer while he was speaking to him. Kumpitsch had been in custody since 4-17-06 on a probation violation felony charge. Kumpitsch was also charged with aggravated assault to a Detention Officer and prisoner assault with body fluids, felonies.

FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE – GOLDEN VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies and detectives arrested Victor J. Malaro, 38, of Golden Valley, Tuesday (4/25) afternoon on a fugitive from justice felony warrant issued out of the U.S. Marshalls Service. Approximately 1:35 p.m., deputies contacted Malaro in the 3300 block of Houch Road regarding his outstanding warrant. Malaro was taken into custody without incident. Malaro was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Shawn Ray Rohm, 34, of Kingman, early Tuesday (4/25) afternoon on a felony warrant for failure to appear issued by Mohave County Superior Court and a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Kingman Municipal Court. Approximately 12:44 p.m., deputies contacted Rohm in the 3800 block of Northfield Avenue regarding his outstanding warrants. Rohm was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

FELONY ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Gerald Wayne Horn, 66, of Needles, CA., on Monday (4/24) evening for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, leaving the scene of an injury accident and aggravated DUI, all felonies. Horn was also charged with DUI, extreme DUI and driving with a suspended driver’s license, misdemeanors. At approximately 8:00 pm, deputies responded to an accident in the area of Dike Road and Barackman and contacted the 17 year-old male victim. The victim reported that during an altercation, Horn struck him in the back of his head. The victim stated that after the altercation, he advised his father of the incident. The 17 year-old reported that as his father was approaching to speak with Horn regarding the incident, they observed Horn driving toward them in his vehicle. Deputies were advised that the 17 year-old was able to get out of the way but his father, a 43 year-old male, was struck by the vehicle. Fort Mohave Tribal responded and was treating the 43 year-old victim at the scene before transporting him to the Needles hospital. A short time later, deputies conducted a traffic stop approximately one mile from the accident scene and contacted the driver, identified as Horn. During conversations with Horn, he advised deputies of the incident and confirmed the statements of the victims, advising he was afraid. While speaking with Horn, deputies smelled an odor associated with an alcoholic beverage. After performing FST’s (field sobriety tests), Horn was taken into custody. He was transported to the Mohave Valley District II Sub-station with an analysis revealed his BAC (blood alcohol concentration) to be .227%. Horn was booked into the jail without incident.

AUTO BURGLARY - KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jason Travis Stone, 28, of Kingman on Monday (4/24) night for burglary, a felony. On 4/19, deputies responded to a burglary call in the 3000 block of Butler Avenue and contacted the 38 year-old female victim. The victim reported that she had witnessed a male subject attempt to take her purse from her vehicle. The victim told deputies that she confronted the male subject who ran from the scene. The victim along with witnesses gave deputies a description of the male subject. Deputies, who have had contacts with Stone in the past, believed he fit the description of the suspect. The victim and witnesses identified Stone from a photo line-up that was supplied to them. On Monday (4/24) at approximately 11:00 pm, deputies were contacted by the female victim who advised that when she arrived home, she observed a vehicle parked in front of the residence. The victim reported that Stone was inside the vehicle and admitted to the burglary. Deputies contacted Stone at a residence in the 3000 block of Butler Avenue. During conversations, Stone began to yell profanities at the deputies. A record check showed Stone to have a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear issued by Kingman Municipal Court. Stone was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

DRUGS – DOLAN SPRINGS

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Steve Dale Jordan, 34 and Gina Larae Pruett, 39, both of Dolan Springs on Sunday (4/34). Jordan was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia and an outstanding failure to appear warrant, both felonies. Pruett was arrested for resisting arrest, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and on an outstanding warrant for possession of marijuana, all felonies. At approximately 7:30 am, deputies conducted a traffic stop on Pierce Ferry Road at approximately milepost 5 and contacted both Jordan and Pruett. A record check showed Jordan, the driver, to have a felony warrant issued out of Nevada. Jordan was taken into custody without incident. Deputies then contacted the passenger, identified as Pruett. A record check revealed Pruett to have a felony warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court. As deputies attempted to take Pruett into custody, she began to resist. After a brief struggle, deputies restrained Pruett without further incident. A search showed Pruett to be in possession of plastic bag containing marijuana, a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance, several syringes and a small scale. After field testing, it was revealed the crystal substance was amphetamine. Both Jordan and Pruett were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

DRUGS – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jeffrey Lee Henderson, 42, of Kingman on Sunday (4/23) night for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of marijuana, both felonies and for three outstanding warrants. At approximately 11:00 pm, deputies contacted Henderson during a traffic stop in the area of Highway 95 and Lake Drive. A record check showed Henderson to have a felony warrant for failure to appear issued by Mohave County Superior Court and two misdemeanor warrants for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, issued by Kingman Municipal Court. Henderson was taken into custody without incident. A search by deputies and a MCSO K9 revealed Henderson to be in possession of individual labeled bags of a white crystal substance, marijuana inside plastic bags, a scale, syringes and metal pipes. Henderson admitted that the items found belonged to him. Henderson was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Sub-station.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Harold Dale Thomas, 47, of Kingman, Monday (4/24) afternoon on two outstanding misdemeanor warrants. At approximately 3:00 pm, Thomas was contacted in the area of Neal Avenue and Norrie. A record check showed Thomas to have a warrant for probation violation and for driving on a suspended driver’s license, both issued by Kingman Municipal Court. Thomas was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – DESERT HILLS

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Constance Ann Rumer, 35, of Desert Hills on Sunday (4/23) for domestic violence/assault, misdemeanor. At approximately 7:00 pm, deputies responded to a call in the 3000 block of Pero Drive and contacted the 17 year-old female victim. Deputies observed blood coming from the victims nose. The victim reported that during an argument, Rumer hit her in the face. Deputies contacted Rumer who admitted to slapping the victim. Rumer was taken into custody without incident. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Sub-station.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested David Andrew Sullins, 44, of Kingman, Sunday (4/23) night on an outstanding warrant. At approximately 11:30 pm, deputies contacted Sullins in the area of Jimmie Drive and Ryan. A record check showed Sullins to have a misdemeanor warrant for probation violation issued by Kingman Municipal Court. Sullins was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

UNLAWFUL MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Warren Kim Purther, 19, of Rancho Cucamonga, Calif., early Friday (4/21) evening for unlawful means of transportation, a felony, along with assault, prevent use of telephone in emergency and disorderly conduct/domestic violence, misdemeanors. Approximately 4:43 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 5200 block of Westwind Drive and contacted the reporting party. The reporting party said that her son, Purther, assaulted his girlfriend and took her gold 2004 Pontiac Grand Am without permission. The reporting party further said that Purther would not allow her to call authorities after he assaulted his girlfriend. Deputies contacted a 21-year-old female victim. The victim reported that Purther hit her multiple times and burnt her leg using a cigarette. Deputies observed the burnt mark. Shortly thereafter, deputies located the stolen vehicle and Purther at a residence in the 5200 block of Jackrabbit where he was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. The vehicle was returned to the owner.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – OATMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested William Howard Elliot, 52, of Oatman, late Saturday (4/22) morning for aggravated assault, a felony. Approximately 9:30 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 30 block of Pyramid Hill and contacted the 52-year-old male victim. The victim reported that he was contracted to build a porch and that Elliot, a neighbor, kept arguing with him about the property line. The victim further reported that the argument escalated into Elliot driving a back hoe and hitting the him in the forehead. Deputies contacted Elliot. During conversations with Elliot, he said that the victim crawled under the front of the back hoe as he was lowering the bucket. Elliot was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

WARRANT ARREST – DESERT HILLS

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Renelle Marie Couch, 42, of Phoenix, early Saturday (4/22) evening on a misdemeanor warrant for issuing a bad check issued out of Maricopa County. Approximately 5:15 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Lake Drive and contacted Couch, the driver. A record check showed Couch to have an outstanding warrant. Couch was taken into custody without incident. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

BURGLARY – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John Allan Hancock, 42, of Mohave Valley, Saturday (4/22) evening for burglary, a felony. Approximately 4:42 p.m., deputies responded to a theft at the corner of Boundary Cone and Mountain View and contacted the reporting party. The reporting party said that he saw Hancock, a former employee of the construction site, steal fuel from truck at the job site. Deputies observed fresh fuel on the ground near the truck. Deputies responded to the 7900 block of Canadian Street and contacted Hancock. During conversations with Hancock, he said that he attempted to steal the fuel but he didn’t. Hancock was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Daniel Paul Lujan, 21, of Kingman, early Saturday (4/22) evening on a felony warrant for dangerous drug violation and drug paraphernalia violation issued by Kingman Justice Court. Approximately 7:19 p.m., deputies contacted Lujan in the 3800 block of Devlin Avenue regarding another case. A record check showed Lujan to have an outstanding warrant. Lujan was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District Jail.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Oren Kevin Rockwell, 47, of Mohave Valley, early Sunday (4/23) morning for assault and aggravated assault, felonies. Approximately 12:10 a.m., deputies were flagged down by a woman in the 1800 block of Plantation Drive. The 44-year-old female victim reported that her husband, Rockwell, had assaulted her. The victim further reported that Rockwell threw a beer can, striking her on her leg and causing a cut. Deputies observed a small cut on the victims’ lower right leg. Deputies contacted Rockwell in the same block. During conversations with Rockwell, he said that hitting the victim with the can was an accident. Rockwell was taken into custody without incident. A computer check on Rockwell showed a history of domestic violence incidents and a misdemeanor warrant for disorderly conduct issued by Bullhead City Justice Court. Rockwell was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

SEXUAL CONDUCT WITH A MINOR – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Alejandro Medrano Avila, 34, of Kingman, early Friday (4/21) evening for sexual conduct with a minor, felony. On Monday (4/17), detectives responded to a sex offense call in the 6900 block of N Avenida Ramirez and contacted the reporting party. The reporting party said that her husband, Avila, molested her 12-year-old daughter. Detectives contacted the female victim and confirmed the allegations. Avila left the scene prior to the detective’s arrival. An ATL (Attempt to Locate) was issued to local law enforcement. On Friday (4/21), approximately 4:00 p.m., Avila was located inside a business in the 3900 block of Stockton Hill Road where Avila was detained by Kingman Police Officers. MCSO Detectives responded and took Avila into custody. During conversations with Avila, he admitted to having a sexual relationship with his step-daughter. Avila was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident.

INJURY BOAT ACCIDENT – TOPOCK

Mohave County Sheriff’s Waterways deputies responded to an accident approximately ¼ mile south of Topock Marina on the Colorado River Sunday (4/23) morning. Approximately 9:20 a.m., deputies responded to the scene of a single boating accident where all five people onboard suffered injuries. Four of the occupants were transported to the Needles Hospital in California while the fifth person, Amanda Penny, 21, was airlifted to University Medical Center in Las Vegas by Guardian Air. Golden Shores Fire Department assisted in transporting some on the victims. There were 3 adult females and 2 adult males all from Torrance, Calif., on board the 21-foot Schiada Boat which sank into the river. Two of the victims were treated and released while the other two were admitted to the Needles Hospital. Amanda Penny is currently listed in critical condition at UMC. Alcohol and speed may be a factor. Further investigation is pending.

HIT & RUN BOAT ACCIDENT – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s Waterways deputies responded to an accident at Site 5, also known at “That Beach”, on Lake Havasu Sunday (4/23) afternoon. Approximately 3:47 p.m., deputies responded to the scene of where a boat and personal watercraft collided. The gray and blue boat left the scene without stopping. The passenger of the personal water craft, identified as George Joseph Hicinbothom, 34, of Lake Havasu City, was tossed into the water and suffered lacerations to his arm. The operator of the PWC was uninjured and pulled the passenger onboard and transported him to land at Site Six where he was taken to Lake Havasu City Regional Medical Center. The victim was treated and released from the hospital. Anyone with information regarding this accident is asked to call MCSO at (928) 753-0753. Further investigation is pending.

WEAPONS OFFENSE – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Salvatore Vincent Joyce, 26, of Kingman, late Thursday (4/20) morning for disorderly conduct with a weapon, a felony. Approximately 10:24 a.m., deputies responded to a weapons offense call in the 2800 block of Lass Avenue and contacted two witnesses. Deputies learned that Joyce was waving a gun around in his front yard. Deputies contacted Joyce. During conversations with Joyce, he said that he did not have a gun and that he was being setup. Deputies contacted Joyce’s brother and he confirmed that Joyce was in the front yard earlier with a gun. Joyce was taken into custody without incident. Deputies located and confiscated a Jennings .380 handgun. Joyce was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ernest Joseph Lumas III, 41, of Kingman, early Friday (4/21) morning on a felony warrant for failure to appear issued by Mohave County Superior Court and a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court issued by Kingman Justice Court. Approximately 1:28 a.m., deputies contacted Lumas in the 1700 block of John L Avenue regarding his outstanding warrants. Lumas was taken into custody without incident. Lumas was transported and booked into Mohave County Jail.

THEFT/DRUGS – TOPOCK

Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Charlie Alan Corris, 43, of Las Vegas, Nev., early Wednesday (4/19) afternoon for theft, attempt to commit, criminal damage, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, all felonies. Approximately 12:00 p.m., as detectives were traveling on County Route 1, just off of the Interstate 40 off ramp, they observed a white Jeep parked on the dirt shoulder of the northbound lane on County Route 1. Detectives also observed a male adult running away from the parked vehicle toward a truck that stopped and picked up the male subject. Detectives stopped at the white Jeep and observed the passenger side wing window to be broken and the ignition to have been tampered with. Detectives caught up with the truck and conducted a traffic stop on County Route 1 at milepost 1. Detectives contacted the driver and the passenger identified as Corris. During conversations with the driver, he said that he stopped to give the male subject a ride. Further conversations with the driver, he said that he observed the male subject take a black bag from the jeep. Deputies contacted Corris who had in his possession a black bag. Deputies got consent to search the bag and located syringes inside. Deputies questioned Corris regarding the jeep. Corris said that he ran near the jeep to get a ride from the truck driver. Corris was taken into custody without incident. Corris was transported to the Mohave County District II Substation. As Corris was walking into the facility, deputies observed Corris drop a plastic bag of methamphetamine. Corris was booked into the jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene. Detectives contacted the owner of the jeep and he said that the jeep had broken down and that he had left it on the side of the road. The owner further said that there was no damage to the jeep when he left it.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested David Leon Johnson, 37, of Fort Mohave, early Wednesday (4/19) afternoon for assault, criminal damage and disorderly conduct all per domestic violence, felonies. Approximately 1:11 p.m., deputies responded to the location of a gas station on Highway 95 near El Rodeo Road in reference to a delayed domestic violence offense that occurred in the 4900 block of Calle Del Media. Deputies contacted the reporting party, a 47-year-old female victim. The victim reported that her husband, Johnson, has been losing his temper and threatening her for the past few days. The victim further reported that Johnson started hitting her hand and it escalated into him pushing her down on the couch. Shortly thereafter, Johnson grabbed the phone from the victim and threw it against the wall and he also broke the glass top on the coffee table. Deputies responded to their residence and contacted Johnson. During conversations with Johnson, he admitted to accidentally breaking the glass top on the coffee table. Johnson was taken into custody without incident. A computer check showed Johnson to have a history of domestic violence incidents. Johnson was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – GOLDEN SHORES

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Eugene Arthur Czyz, 54, of Golden Shores, Wednesday (4/19) evening for disorderly conduct/domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Approximately 10:15 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic violence call in the 12500 block of Yuma Drive and contacted the 43-year-old female victim. The victim reported that she and her boyfriend, Czyz, got into an argument and he slapped her twice in the face. Deputies contacted Czyz. During conversations with Czyz, he said that he made a motion to slap the victim, but he stopped. Czyz was taken into custody without incident. Czyz was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jose Luis Caballero, 50, of Golden Valley, late Tuesday (4/18) afternoon on a failure to appear felony warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court on 2-2-06 on original charges of misconduct with weapons and possession of drug paraphernalia. Approximately 4:04 p.m., deputies contacted Caballero in the 5800 block of Burro Drive regarding his outstanding warrant. Caballero was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – DESERT HILLS

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Dean Garth Hantke, 32, of Lake Havasu City, early Tuesday (4/18) evening for disorderly conduct/domestic violence and a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court. Approximately 6:27 p.m., deputies responded to Highway 95 and S. Palo Verde in reference to a disturbance that occurred earlier on London Bridge Road. Deputies contacted the 30-year-old female victim. The victim reported that she and her husband, Hantke, got into an argument while they were traveling southbound on London Bridge Road. The victim further reported that Hantke damaged the passenger side of the car door as he slammed it shut. Deputies responded to the 2000 block of Perilite Place and contacted Hantke. During conversations with Hantke, he admitted to being involved in an argument and slamming the car door. Hantke was taken into custody without incident. A record check showed Hantke to have an outstanding warrant. Hantke was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Fred Lennis Smith, 46, of Kingman, Tuesday (4/18) evening on a felony parole violation issued out of California on 5-14-03. Approximately 10:15 p.m., deputies contacted Smith while he was riding a bicycle in the 4300 block of Bank Street. A record check showed Smith to have an outstanding warrant. Smith was taken into custody without incident. Smith was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Johnny Melvin Lee, 38, of Fort Mohave, Wednesday (4/18) evening for aggravated assault/domestic violence and domestic violence/burglary, felonies. Approximately 10:21 p.m. deputies responded to a domestic violence call in the 2400 block of Sterling Road and contacted the 38-year-old female victim. The victim reported that her ex-boyfriend, Lee, gained access into her house by climbing through a window and he had a handgun with him. The victim further reported that Lee assaulted her. Medical responded and the victim refused medical treatment. Shortly thereafter, deputies conducted a high risk traffic stop at Linda and Sunrise Vista where Lee was taken into custody without incident. Deputies located the handgun in the driver’s side door. During conversations with Lee, he said that he went to the victim’s house and got into an argument. Lee was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Charles Dwight Guy, 48, and Sharon Anne Pendleton, 46, both from Bullhead City, early Wednesday (4/19) morning. Guy was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Pendleton was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony, and driving with a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Approximately 3:18 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at Chaparral Road and Ruby. Deputies contacted the driver identified as Pendleton and the passenger identified as Guy. A record check showed Pendleton’s driver’s license to be suspended. Deputies had both occupants exit the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed syringes, glass pipe, metal spoon and a plastic bag. Both the metal spoon and plastic bag contained a white crystal residue which field tested positive for methamphetamine. During conversations with Guy, he said the items belonged to him. Guy was taken into custody without incident. Deputies also located a pipe with residue inside Pendleton’s purse. Pendleton was taken into custody without incident. Guy and Pendleton were transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

DUI’S – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested the following people on Saturday (4/15) and Sunday (4/16) on Lake Havasu:

Alexandra Compton, 19, of Hemet, Crystal Alicia Marshall, 19, of Canyon Lake, Brianna Rose Melendez, 18, of Hemet, and Michele Lee Matthews, of Cypress, all from California, were each arrested for minor in possession of liquor, a misdemeanor.

Ashley Marie Hegreberg, 18, of Los Alamitos, Calif., was arrested for underage consumption of alcohol while operating a watercraft and DUI-Watercraft, misdemeanors.

Jeffrey Lee Dixon, 21, of Murrieta, Calif., was arrested for DUI-Watercraft, a misdemeanor.

Mark Wesley Seibert, 44, of Lake Havasu City, was arrested for DUI-Watercraft, DUI-Watercraft with a blood alcohol concentration over .08% and careless operation of watercraft, misdemeanors.

Carlos Ramirez, 25, of Lake Havasu City, was arrested for DUI-Watercraft and DUI-Watercraft with a blood alcohol concentration over .08%, misdemeanors.

Gary James Wilson, 44, of San Dimas, Calif., was arrested for DUI-Watercraft, DUI-Watercraft with a blood alcohol concentration over .08% and Extreme DUI-Watercraft with a blood alcohol concentration over .15%, all misdemeanors.

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kenneth Scott Beckham, 45, of Golden Shores, Sunday (4/16) afternoon on the following misdemeanor warrants; failure to pay fines and two counts of failure to appear, all issued by Bullhead City Justice Court. Approximately 3:04 p.m., deputies contacted Beckham at Golden Shores Parkway and Lake Powell Road regarding his outstanding warrants. Beckham was taken into custody. Beckham was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation without incident.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – DOLAN SPRINGS

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Wannie Walter Walker, 44, of Florence, Arizona on Sunday (4/16) afternoon for aggravated assault/domestic violence, aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer, possession of a weapon by prohibited person, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, all felonies. On April 1, 2006, deputies responded to Kingman Regional Medical Center and contacted the 44 year-old female victim. The victim reported that she and Walker had been involved in a verbal altercation at their residence in the 15500 block of Gila Road. She reported that as she attempted to leave the residence, Walker pushed her from behind, causing her to land outside the door. The victim told deputies that while she was on the ground, Walker began punching her. The victim reported that she was unsure if Walker had used a weapon of any kind. Deputies observed several bruises and cuts to the victims head and face. An attempt to locate (ATL) was issued to all surrounding law enforcement agencies. Deputies responded to the Gila residence and observed signs of the assault. Deputies also observed a large knife in the area. The knife was taken by deputies and placed into evidence. On Sunday (4/16) at approximately 2:00 pm, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Aztec Road and Highway 68 in Golden Valley. Deputies contacted the passenger, identified as Walker. Walker was taken into custody without incident. A search revealed Walker to be in possession of a syringe along with marijuana which was located inside his pants pocket. Walker admitted the items belonged to him. Walker was transported to the Mohave County Jail. While at the jail, deputies questioned Walker in reference to the assault. During the questioning, Walker became upset. As deputies concluded the questioning and began to leave the room, Walker stood up and went towards a Sergeant in an aggressive manner. Deputies were able to restrain Walker with the assistance of detention officers. The Sergeant received minor injuries to his right hand and wrist. Walker was booked into the Mohave County Jail on the above charges.

DRUGS – GOLDEN VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John Wesley Holcomb, 43, of Golden Valley on Saturday (4/15) afternoon for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies and trespassing, a misdemeanor. At approximately 4:00 pm, deputies responded to a call in the 3300 block of Hano Road and contacted Holcomb standing outside in the yard next to his vehicle. Holcomb was taken into custody without incident. Deputies contacted the 43 year-old female victim who reported that Holcomb had climbed the fence and was tampering with the electrical box. The victim advised deputies that she told Holcomb to leave, but he continued to stay on the property. A record check showed the victim to have an active order of protection against Holcomb. A search of Holcomb’s vehicle prior to being towed from the residence, revealed Holcomb to be in possession of a glass pipe and a black plastic container with a crystal substance. Holcomb admitted the items located inside the vehicle belonged to him. Holcomb was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

THEFT – GOLDEN VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Annette Theodora Murphy, 42, of Golden Valley on Friday (4/14) evening for theft and fraud, both felonies. On April 4, 2006, deputies responded to a call in the 5100 block of Highway 68 and contacted the victim. The victim reported that she discovered his bank card missing from her purse. She told deputies that when she contacted her bank to report the card missing, she was advised that recent purchases had been made. During investigations, deputies contacted two businesses in Kingman and retrieved surveillance tapes showing Murphy using the stolen bank card. On Friday (4/14) at approximately 7:00 pm, deputies contacted Murphy in the 5200 block of Burro Road. Murphy was taken into custody without incident. Murphy was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jared Alan Lemieux, 29, of Kingman early Sunday on two outstanding warrants. At approximately 11:30 am, deputies contacted Lemieux at a residence in the 4400 block of Van Nuys Road. A record check showed Lemieux to have a felony warrant for failure to appear issued by Cochise County Superior Court and a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant issued by Bullhead City Municipal Court. Lemieux was taken into custody without incident. Lemieux was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

DRUGS – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Anthony Upshaw, 28, of Mohave Valley on Saturday (4/15) morning for possession of dangerous drugs for sale, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. At approximately 4:30 am, deputies were patrolling in the area of Highway 95 and King Street. Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation and contacted the driver, Upshaw. A record check showed Upshaw to have a revoked driver’s license. Upshaw was taken into custody. A search revealed Upshaw to be in possession of a several small plastic bags containing a substance which field tested positive to be methamphetamine. Upshaw was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Sub-station jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

WARRANT ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Anthony Carl Joseph Sirekis, 25, of Mohave Valley on Friday (4/14) night for an outstanding felony warrant. At approximately 10:30 pm, deputies contacted Sirekis at a residence in the 600 block of A Street. A record check showed Sirekis to have a felony warrant for probation violation issued by Mohave County Superior Court. Sirekis was taken into custody without incident. Sirekis was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Sub-station jail.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – DESERT HILLS

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Lon Daryl Darby 44, of Lake Havasu City on Friday (4/14) night for domestic violence/assault, misdemeanor. At about 11:30 pm, deputies responded to a call in the 2100 block of Diane Drive and contacted Darby. Darby advised that while in a verbal altercation he was struck in the arm. Deputies observed swelling and bruising to Darby’s forearm. Deputies then contacted the 44 year-old female who stated that during the altercation, Darby grabbed her by the hair and shoved her into a dresser. The victim advised that she hit Darby with a lamp in self-defense. Deputies observed small cuts to the victims’ stomach, arm and ankle. The victim refused medical treatment. After further investigation, Darby was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to Lake Havasu City Regional Medical Center for treatment to this arm. Darby was then transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Sub-station jail.

INTERFERING WITH JUDICIAL PROCEEDINGS – DOLAN SPRINGS

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Billy Dean Breshears, 20, of White Hills on Friday (4/14) evening for domestic violence/interfering with judicial proceedings, misdemeanor. At approximately 9:00 pm, deputies responded to a call in the 11000 block of Rockinghorse Drive and contacted the 35 year-old female victim. The victim reported that Breshears had arrived at the residence wanting to pick up some property. A record check showed a valid order of protection against Breshears. Deputies contacted Breshears who advised he had walked to the residence to retrieve some personal items. Breshears was taken into custody without incident. Breshears was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Gustavo Vasquez Arroyo, 27, of Bullhead City, early Friday (4/14) morning for possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony, and two misdemeanors for driving on a suspended license and open container in the vehicle. Approximately 11:55 p.m. on Thursday evening, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 4800 block of Highway 95 and contacted Arroyo. A record check showed Arroyo to have a suspended driver’s license. Arroyo was taken into custody without incident. A search of the vehicle revealed an open beer approximately ¾ full and a glass pipe with residue. During conversations with Arroyo, he said that he put the open beer under the passenger’s seat. Arroyo was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. Arroyo was also cited for expired registration and failure to produce vehicle insurance. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Benjamin Arnold Johnson III, 24, of Lake Havasu City, early Thursday (4/13) evening for possession of dangerous drugs, a felony. Approximately 6:04 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3100 block of William and contacted Johnson. A record check showed Johnson to have a suspended driver’s license. A search of the vehicle revealed a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance which tested positive for methamphetamine. Johnson was taken into custody without incident. Johnson was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Nathan Josh Barrows, 20, of Desert Hills, late Wednesday (4/12) evening for disorderly conduct/domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Approximately 11:10 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic violence call in the 3000 block of William Drive and contacted Barrows. During conversations with Barrows, he said that he wanted his stepfather out of the house and that they had been fighting all day. Deputies contacted his stepfather, a 43-year-old male victim. The victim reported that Barrows got into his room while he was in bed. The victim further reported that Barrows told him to get out and attempted to force him out of the room. During the scuffle, the victim got a minor injury to his shoulder. The victim refused medical treatment. Barrows was taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Joseph Wing, 42, of Mohave Valley, early Thursday (4/13) morning for criminal damage/domestic violence, a felony. Approximately 1:30 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 1700 block of Lead Way and contacted Wing. Wing became agitated when he learned that his sister called 911. Deputies detained Wing. Deputies contacted Wings sister. She reported that Wing became agitated and started throwing and breaking things in the house. Deputies observed a variety of broken items. Wing was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

DUI – LAKE HAVASU

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Jimenez, 21, of Sunland, Calif., Saturday (4/8) afternoon for DUI-Watercraft and DUI-Watercraft with a blood alcohol concentration over .08%, misdemeanors. Approximately 4:10 p.m., deputies observed a watercraft traveling north in the Thompson Bay with an excessive wake. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and contacted Jimenez, the operator. Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Jimenez. During conversations with Jimenez, he admitted to have been drinking. Jimenez was taken into custody and transported to Contact Point where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .089%. Jimenez was cited and released to a responsible party

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mark Alan Stephens, 45, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, late Monday (4/10) morning for disorderly conduct/domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Approximately 11:24 a.m., deputies responded to a domestic violence call in the 1400 block of Levee Way. Dispatch informed deputies that a man and woman were in a blue truck fighting. As deputies arrived, they observed a male subject, later identified as Stephens, walking away from a blue truck. Deputies detained Stephens. Deputies contacted the female subject, later determined to be a 26-year-old female victim. The victim reported that she and Stephens were arguing and he took her credit card and keys. The victim further reported that Stephens tried to pull her out of the vehicle and she began kicking to get him to stop. Deputies contacted a witness. The witness reported hearing the male subject hitting the female subject while she was yelling for help. During conversations with Stephens, he said that she began kicking the inside of the truck and he was trying to stop her. The victims’ credit card and keys were returned to her. Stephens was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation without incident.

2 X’S CHILD ABUSE – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Erin Elizabeth Harmon, 29, of Kingman, Saturday (4/8) afternoon on two counts of child abuse, felonies. Approximately 9:05 a.m., deputies responded to a 911 call in the 2300 block of Hearne Avenue. As deputies approached the residence, they heard a child screaming and a female yelling. Deputies smelled a strong odor of natural gas coming from inside the residence when a female, identified as Harmon, answered the door. As deputies inquired about the smell of gas, Harmon said the stove was on. Deputies did not observe a flame, as Harmon turned the stove off. Deputies observed a young child, later identified as Harmon’s’ 9-month-old female infant in the house. During conversations with Harmon, she said that her 6-year-old female child stayed with a friend in Chloride. Hualapai Fire Department responded and had everyone move away from the front porch of the residence due to a high volume of gas. Harmon and the infant were transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center where they were treated and later released. Child Protective Services were contacted and responded. Deputies along with Child Protective Services and the child’s grandmother located the 6-year-old female child walking down the street by herself in Chloride. Shortly thereafter, Harmon and the infant were released from the hospital. Child Protective Services took custody of both children and gave the children to the grandmother. Harmon was taken into custody without incident. She was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.

WARRANT – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Gerald Blackman Autry, 64, of Roseville California, early Sunday (4/9) morning for probation violation felony warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court on 1-3-05. Approximately 2:09 a.m., deputies responded to the jail in Kingman regarding a subject turning himself in on a felony warrant. Deputies contacted the subject, identified as Autry, and confirmed his outstanding warrant. Autry was taken into custody and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident.

RECOVERED VEHICLE – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Peter Carl Hettish, 28, of Bullhead City, early Sunday (4/9) evening for possession of stolen property and possession of dangerous drugs, felonies. Approximately 5:30 p.m., deputies responded to the 1500 block of Los Colinas regarding stolen dirt bikes. Deputies contacted Hettish, who was inside the garage. Deputies observed Hettish working on a dirt bike. During conversations with Hettish, he said the bike was not stolen and that he had the paperwork at home. A check of the dirt bikes vehicle identification number returned it to be a stolen 2002 Yamaha dirt bike. Hettish was taken into custody without incident. A search of Hettish revealed a glass container containing a white crystal substance which tested positive for methamphetamine. Hettish was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE/DRUGS – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jana Lynne Bernet, 40, of Lake Havasu City, Friday (4/7) evening on a fugitive from justice felony warrant issued out of Missouri on 11-4-05 for theft. Approximately 9:41 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Diamond at Palo Verde and contacted Bernet. A record check showed Bernet to have an outstanding warrant. Bernet was taken into custody without incident. A search of the vehicle revealed a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance which field tested positive for methamphetamine. Approximately 2.25 grams of methamphetamine was confiscated. Bernet was also charged with possession of dangerous drugs, a felony. Bernet was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

FUGITIVE FROM JUSTICE – DESERT HILLS

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Levi Dell Tatum, 20, of Lake Havasu City, Sunday (4/9) evening on a fugitive from justice felony warrant issued out of Cheyenne Wyoming on 3-23-05. Approximately 9:00 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3100 block of Lake Drive. Deputies contacted Tatum. A record check showed Tatum to have an outstanding warrant. Tatum was taken into custody without incident. Tatum was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

FATAL BOAT ACCIDENT – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff’s Waterways deputies responded to an accident in the area of Site 6, west end of the Island, on Lake Havasu Thursday (4/6) afternoon. Approximately 3:47 p.m., deputies responded to the scene of a two vessel accident involving 5 people. Two boats collided off shore near Site 6 and all occupants on both boats were ejected into the water. A 20-foot Sleekcraft boat and a 20-foot Ranger Bass boat were traveling in the opposite direction toward one another when the collision occurred. The Sleekcraft boat sank while the Bass boat continued in circles after the collision. All 5 people were pulled to land by passerby’s. On board the Sleekcraft boat was the operator of boat Richard Huebner II, 43, of Olympia, Washington, along with Jordan Gaken, 19, of Lake Havasu City, and Malachi Chace, 14, of Tenino, Washington. Malachi Chace was declared deceased at the scene. On board the 20-foot Ranger boat was the operator of the boat John Barnes, 66, of Moreno Valley, California, along with Steven Ellis, 47, of Fontana, California. All victims were transported to Lake Havasu Regional Medical Center. Huebner and Gaken were later airlifted to Las Vegas. Barnes and Ellis were treated and released Thursday evening. Lake Havasu City Fire Department, Lake Havasu Police Department, San Bernardino Sheriff’s Office, U.S. Fish and Wildlife, State Parks and River Medical assisted MCSO personnel. The salvage company has located the sunken boat and will be removing it today. This accident is still under investigation.

WARRANT ARREST/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – FORT MOHAVE

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Donald James Haberek, 48, of Fort Mohave, late Wednesday (4/5) evening for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and a fugitive from justice warrant issued out of Virginia for failure to pay child support, all felonies. Approximately 10:54 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 4400 block of Donald Circle and contacted Haberek. A record check showed Haberek to have an outstanding warrant. Haberek informed deputies that he has a marijuana cigarette inside his pocket prior to taking him into custody. Deputies retrieved the cigarette along with rolling papers. Haberek was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

DRUG PARAPHERNALIA/WARRANTS ARREST – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Sara Elaine Wilson, 20, of Kingman, Tuesday (4/4) afternoon for possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony, along with outstanding warrants. Approximately 3:30 p.m., detective’s contacted Wilson as she was walking in the area Jimmie Drive and Hearne Avenue regarding her outstanding warrants. Detectives confirmed Wilson’s warrants for theft, a misdemeanor, and two felony warrants for dangerous drug violation, all issued by Kingman Justice Court. Wilson was taken into custody without incident. A search of Wilson revealed two syringes. Wilson was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident.

HOMICIDE UPDATE – GOLDEN VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has determined that it could take weeks to conclude a positive identification of the body located in a freezer in Massachusetts. According to Oral Wayne Nobles the victim is believed to be Kenneth R. Stuart. Stuart was born in 1942. Please refer to MCSO Media Release dated 4-3-06.

WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Teresa Joanne Mitchell, 35, of Lake Havasu City, Tuesday (4/4) morning on a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court on 6-28-05. Approximately 6:00 a.m., deputies assisted Lake Havasu Police officers in a traffic stop in the area of Lake Havasu Avenue and Industrial Boulevard. A warrants check returned an outstanding warrant on Mitchell. Mitchell was taken into custody without incident. Mitchell was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – DESERT HILLS

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Craig Kent Comer, 35, and Scott Patrick Gibson Jr., 23, both from Lake Havasu City, early Tuesday (4/4) afternoon. Comer and Gibson were each arrested for possession of dangerous drugs for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Approximately 12:09 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on a white 1997 Pontiac for failing to stop at a posted stop sign on Michael at Pero Drive. Deputies contacted the driver identified as Comer. A record check showed Comer’s drivers license to be suspended. Deputies had Comer and the passenger, identified as Gibson, exit the vehicle and stand at the rear of their vehicle. Deputies observed Gibson walk from the rear of the vehicle to the passenger side. Deputies requested Gibson several times to return to the rear of the vehicle without a response. Comer and Gibson were detained. A search of the vehicle revealed a duffle bag containing two plastic bags of a white crystal substance, a scale, glass pipe and two empty plastic bags. The white crystal substance field tested positive for methamphetamine and weighed approximately 5.2 grams. During conversations with Comer and Gibson, they both said the duffle bag belonged to someone that they picked up earlier in the desert. Comer and Gibson were transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

DRUGS/WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested John Russell Lucier, 39, of Lake Havasu City, Tuesday (4/4) afternoon for possession of dangerous drugs, a felony. Approximately 4:18 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at Sweetgrass and Mohican and contacted Lucier, the driver. A record check showed Lucier to have a felony warrant for failure to appear issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court. Lucier was taken into custody without incident. A search of the vehicle revealed a white crystal substance located in a paper wrapper which field tested positive for methamphetamine. Lucier was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – MOHAVE VALLEY

Mohave County Sheriff's deputies arrested Charles Arthur Jones, 56, of Mohave Valley, early Tuesday (4/4) evening for aggravated assault/domestic violence, a felony, and theft, a misdemeanor. Early Sunday afternoon deputies responded to a domestic violence call in the 8300 block of Pine Drive and contacted the 25-year-old female victim. The victim reported that she was in a physical confrontation with her boyfriend, Jones, and that he left in a white mustang. The victim said that Jones took her purse and was leaving in his vehicle when she jumped behind the mustang to stop him from leaving. The victim further said that Jones backed up and ran over her to her waist. The victim refused medical treatment. Deputies contacted a witness. The witness reported that he observed the victim under the back of the mustang until Jones pulled forward and left. Deputies searched the area without locating Jones. During a follow-up investigation deputies contacted Jones at about 5:45 p.m. in the 8300 block of Pine Drive and took him into custody without incident. During conversations with Jones, he denied having any confrontation with the victim. A record check showed Jones to have a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear issued by Bullhead City Justice Court. Jones was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

EXTREME DUI – KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tamara Jean Gonzalez, 43, of Kingman, late Monday (4/3) evening for DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08% and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .15%, misdemeanors. A vehicle pulled up behind a patrol unit in the 3100 block of Andy Devine Avenue. The lane was not open to traffic. Approximately 10:55 p.m., deputies contacted the driver identified as Gonzalez. Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Gonzalez. Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Gonzalez was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County Jail where an analysis revealed her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .216%. Gonzalez was transported and booked into the jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

EXTREME DUI/EXCESSIVE SPEED – DESERT HILLS

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jonathan Michael Baker, 21, of Lake Havasu City, early Sunday (4/2) morning for DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08%, extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .15%, and excessive speed, misdemeanors. Deputies observed a motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Highway 95. Approximately 3:26 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 at Centre Loop and contacted Baker, the driver. Deputies observed Baker having difficulty in removing his helmet and having a hard time keeping his balance after getting off the motorcycle. Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Baker. During conversations with Baker, he admitted to have been drinking. Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Baker was taken into custody and transported to the Lake Havasu Substation jail where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .223%. Baker was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.

Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Douglas Edward Dooley, 46, of Mohave Valley, early Saturday (4/1) morning for assault/domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Approximately 12:54 a.m., deputies responded to a domestic violence call in the 8100 block of Carob Drive. As deputies arrived, they were met in front of the residence by Dooley. During conversations with Dooley, he admitted to hitting his wife. Dooley was taken into custody without incident. Deputies contacted the 43-year-old female victim. Deputies observed redness and swelling around the victims left eye. The victim reported that Dooley hit her in the face. The victim refused medical treatment. Dooley was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.

HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION – MOHAVE VALLEY
Oral Wayne Nobles
Mohave County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested Oral Wayne Nobles, 71, of Mohave Valley on Saturday (4/1) for 2nd degree murder, a felony. During a joint investigation that began on Friday (3/31), MCSO Detectives and Massachusetts State Police were investigating a homicide case where a body was located in a freezer in Massachusetts and the owner of the freezer, identified as Nobles, resided in Mohave Valley. MCSO detectives attempted to locate Nobles on Friday and an ATL (Attempt to Locate) was issued to area law enforcement. Nobles contacted MCSO on Saturday. During the course of the investigation, detectives learned from Nobles that he murdered a male subject approximately 3-6 years ago in Golden Valley at Nobles’ prior residence. The identification will be released pending further investigation and notification of next of kin. This case remains under investigation.

PUBLIC'S ASSISTANCE - KINGMAN

Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in locating Robert James Dodd, 33, of Kingman. Dodd is wanted for aggravated assault and misconduct involving a weapon, felonies. Deputies responded to a firearms assault call Sunday (4/2) afternoon at the intersection of Thompson Avenue and N Melody Street in Kingman where two adult male subjects were involved in a verbal altercation with Dodd which escalated into a shooting. Investigations determined that Dodd shot numerous times at the two male subjects, hitting one of them, and leaving the scene driving a black Cavalier with black rims and dark tinted windows. The weapon used is described as an assault type weapon. The shot victim is identified as Michael David Bernat, 35, of Kingman, and is currently listed in stable condition at Kingman Regional Medical Center.

Dodd is a white male, 6'0 at 180 lbs, with hazel eyes and brown hair. He is considered armed and extremely dangerous. The public should not approach or contact Dodd.
