FELONY – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jack William Gerdes Jr., 46, of Lake
Havasu City, early Monday (1/30) afternoon for impeding recovery by action or
judgment of personal property, a felony. Approximately 10:45 p.m., deputies
contacted Gerdes at a business located in the 700 block of Lake Havasu Avenue in
reference to a written order to seize and hold assets issued by the Mohave
County Superior Court. During the investigation to determine which assets to be
seized, Gerdes arranged to have assets removed and hidden from the business.
Gerdes was taken into custody without incident. Gerdes was transported and
booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.
WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Shawn Ray Rohm, 34, of Kingman,
Tuesday (1/31) afternoon on a felony warrant for failure to appear and a
misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines, both issued by Mohave County
Superior Court. Approximately 3:38 p.m., detectives contacted Rohm at a
residence located in the 3600 block of Bluebird Lane. Detectives knew Rohm to
have outstanding warrants. A record check confirmed Rohm’s warrants. Rohm was
taken into custody without incident. Rohm was transported and booked into the
Mohave County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Keith James Phinney, 22, of Kingman,
Sunday (1/29) morning on a felony warrant for probation violation issued by
Mohave County Superior Court. Approximately 10:06 a.m., deputies contacted
Phinney at a residence located in the 2100 block of Northfield Avenue regarding
his outstanding warrant. Phinney was taken into custody without incident.
Phinney was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Matthew Allen Peltzer, 21, of Lake
Havasu City, Monday (1/30) morning on two felony warrants for failure to appear
issued by Mohave County Superior Court and theft/forgery issued by Lake Havasu
City Justice Court along with a misdemeanor warrant for interfering with
judicial proceedings issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court. Approximately
9:24 a.m., deputies contacted Peltzer at a residence located in the 3500 block
of Desert Garden regarding his outstanding warrants. Peltzer was taken into
custody without incident. Peltzer was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District III Substation.
DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – MEADVIEW
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Anna Marie Todd, 40, of Kingman, early
Tuesday (1/31) morning for possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony, driving
with license suspended, excessive speed and a warrant for contempt of court
issued by Kingman Justice Court, misdemeanors. Deputies observed a speeding
vehicle traveling eastbound on Pierce Ferry Road. Approximately 12:10 a.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop at milepost 7 and contacted the driver
identified as Todd. A record check showed Todd’s driver’s license to be
suspended and an outstanding warrant. Todd was taken into custody without
incident. A search of Todd’s purse revealed a glass pipe with burnt residue.
Todd was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was
towed from the scene.
THEFT/DRUGS – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jerry Martin Phelps, 37, of Mohave
Valley, Monday (1/30) morning for theft of means of transportation and
possession of dangerous drugs, felonies. As deputies were patrolling an area
they observed Phelps standing in a driveway of a residence located in the 1300
block of Jamaica Way. Approximately 9:10 a.m., deputies contacted Phelps and
took him into custody without incident. Deputies have been investigating a
stolen white 2004 Toyota Tacoma truck involving Phelps. During conversations
with Phelps, he said that he only drove the truck to Golden Shores from Mohave
Valley. A search of Phelps revealed a plastic bag of white crystal substance
which tested positive for methamphetamine. Phelps was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District II Substation.
WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ruben Bengoa, 23, of Lake Havasu City,
early Friday (1/27) afternoon on two misdemeanor warrants; both for failure to
appear issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court. Approximately 2:00 p.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop on Papago at Rainbow and contacted Bengoa, the
driver. A record check showed Bengoa to have outstanding warrants. Bengoa was
taken into custody without incident. Bengoa was transported and booked into the
Mohave County District III Substation.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Brian Jay Deaton, 33, of Mohave
Valley, Monday (1/30) morning for threatening, theft and aggravated assault,
felonies. On Tuesday (1/24), deputies responded to an assault call in the 7800
block of Aspen Street and contacted the 40-year-old female victim. The victim
reported that her boyfriend, Deaton, assaulted her at a residence earlier this
morning located in the 600 block of Kingsley. The victim further reported that
Deaton tackled her to the floor and held her by her throat. As he was holding
her he threatened her. The victim further reported that Deaton took her cell
phone as he left the residence walking. An ATL (Attempt to Locate) was issued to
area law enforcement. Approximately 10:00 a.m. on Monday (1/30), deputies
learned that Deaton was at the Animal Control building, just behind the Mohave
County District II Substation. Deputies contacted Deaton and took him into
custody without incident. During conversations with Deaton, he denied being at
the scene with the victim on January 24. Deaton was booked into the Mohave
County District II Substation.
DEATH INVESTIGATION – NORTH OF LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies are investigating the death of an adult male
subject. Deputies responded to the scene, approximately 6 miles north from Lake
Havasu City, on the Colorado River near Blankenship Bend at about 2:00 p.m. on
Friday (1/27) and spoke with a fisherman who discovered the man’s body while he
was fishing. A deceased white male body was located in a small cove
approximately 100 feet from the shoreline in the area north of Picture Rock. The
body has been identified as James Edward Jacoby, 69, of West Covina, California.
Jacoby was reported as a missing person to the West Covina Police Department. An
autopsy is pending and investigation is on-going.
DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Victor Henry Hewlett, 43, of Golden
Shores, late Friday (1/27) morning for possession of marijuana and four counts
of possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Approximately 10:27 a.m.,
deputies assisted officers from United States Fish and Wildlife Service in
reference to drug paraphernalia found at a residence located in the 12800 block
of Pima Parkway. Deputies contacted the officer. The officer reported that
during an investigation they got consent to search Hewlett’s bedroom and during
the search they located numerous marijuana pipes and a few plastic bags
containing marijuana. Deputies contacted Hewlett. During conversations with
Hewlett, he admitted the items belonged to him. Hewlett was taken into custody
without incident. Hewlett was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District II Substation.
WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Daniel Allen Stiles, 49, of Fort
Mohave, late Saturday (1/28) afternoon on a misdemeanor warrant for
assault/domestic violence issued by Bullhead City Municipal Court on 8-5-05.
Approximately 4:16 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 4800 block
of Baronsgate Way. Deputies contacted Stiles. A record check showed Stiles to
have an outstanding warrant. Stiles was taken into custody without incident.
Stiles was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
ASSAULT – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Tad Lyndon Kurtz, 30, of Lake Havasu
City, late Saturday (1/28) afternoon for assault, a misdemeanor. Approximately
4:00 p.m., deputies responded to an assault call at a business located in the
3400 block of London Bridge Road and contacted the 34-year-old female victim.
The victim reported she and her that boyfriend, Kurtz, were arguing when he
slapped and punched her. Deputies contacted Kurtz in the 300 block of El Camino
Way. During conversations with Kurtz, he admitted to assaulting the victim.
Kurtz was taken into custody without incident. Kurtz was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District III Substation.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Shari Lynn Herrmann, 34, of Lake
Havasu City, Saturday (1/28) evening for disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor.
Approximately 9:51 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 3200 block
of Joyce Lane and contacted the reporting party. The reporting party said that
Herrmann was trying to kick in the door to her residence. Deputies contacted
Herrmann at a business across the street. Herrmann was taken into custody
without incident. Herrmann was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District III Substation.
2 X’S JUVENILE REFERRAL – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two male juveniles from Kingman on
traffic offense charges Saturday (1/28) afternoon. Approximately 2:00 p.m.,
deputies observed two juveniles riding off road vehicles in an alley way behind
John L Avenue at N Bank Street. Deputies contacted both juveniles. The
13-year-old male was riding a yellow Quad while the 15-year-old male was riding
a red dirt bike. Juvenile referral has been submitted on both juveniles to the
Mohave County Juvenile Probation on a traffic citation for unauthorized off road
motor vehicle use. Both juveniles were cited and released. Both of the vehicles
were towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Jeffrey Wayne Spano, 32, of Golden
Valley, Thursday (1/26) afternoon on a felony warrant for parole violation
issued out of California Department of Corrections on 1/23/06. Detectives were
informed by California Department of Correction of a wanted felon that may be in
the area. Approximately 1:38 p.m., detectives contacted Spano in the 3500 block
of Bryce Road regarding his outstanding warrant. Spano was taken into custody
without incident. Spano was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jeffrey Lee Henderson, 41, of Kingman,
Thursday (1/26) afternoon on a felony warrant for failure to appear issued by
Mohave County Superior Court on original charge of criminal damage.
Approximately 2:22 p.m., deputies contacted Henderson in the 2800 block of Neal
Avenue regarding his outstanding warrant. Henderson was taken into custody
without incident. Henderson was transported and booked into the Mohave County
Jail.
DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ronald Lee Gallagher, 54, of Mohave
Valley, Thursday (1/26) evening for possession of dangerous drugs for sale,
possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Deputies
observed a blue Ford truck traveling at a high rate of speed in a residential
area. Approximately 8:40 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Sycamore
Avenue, west of Stockton Hill Road. Deputies contacted Gallagher, the driver.
Deputies observed Gallagher to be extremely nervous and moving items around in
the passenger seat. During conversations with Gallagher, he said that he just
needed to get home. A K-9 unit responded. The K-9 alerted his handler to drugs
in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle revealed a plastic bag containing a
white substance, another plastic bag containing marijuana and a glass pipe. The
white substance field tested positive for methamphetamine. Approximately 6 grams
of methamphetamine was confiscated. Gallagher was taken into custody without
incident. Gallagher was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The
vehicle was towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Shonia Ericia Devine, 31, of Lake
Havasu City, Wednesday (1/25) morning on two misdemeanor warrants for
interfering with judicial proceedings and failure to appear for suspended
driver’s license, both issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court. Approximately
9:10 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 at milepost 180 and
contacted Devine, the driver. A record check showed Devine to have outstanding
warrants. Devine was taken into custody without incident. Devine was transported
and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Richard Allen Goldman, 41, of Mohave
Valley, early Wednesday (1/25) evening for trespassing/domestic violence, a
misdemeanor. Approximately 6:45 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the
600 block of Gordon Drive and contacted the 53-year-old female victim. The
victim reported that she no longer wants her boyfriend, Goldman, living with her
at her residence. Deputies contacted Goldman and advised him that the victim no
wanted him to stay at her residence. Deputies observed Goldman walking eastbound
on Gordon Drive until he was no longer in sight. Approximately 30 minutes later,
deputies responded back to the Gordon Drive residence as Goldman returned and
was attempting to make contact with the victim. Deputies contacted Goldman and
took him into custody without incident. Goldman was transported and booked into
the Mohave County District II Substation.
UNLAWFUL USE OF MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION/THEFT – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Melissa Ann Adkins, 27, and Traci Lynn
Jacobs, 25, both from Salina, Kansas, Wednesday (1/25) evening. Adkins and
Jacobs were both arrested for unlawful use of means of transportation, theft,
and probation violation warrant issued out of Salina, Kan., all felonies.
Deputies received a tip of two females that were traveling to Lake Havasu City
in a stolen black and red Saturn. Deputies were also informed that both female
are felons from Kansas. Approximately 7:35 p.m., deputies observed the vehicle
parked in a business parking lot located in the 14700 block of Highway 95 with
two females sitting inside. Deputies contacted both females identified as Adkins
and Jacobs. Deputies confirmed the 1999 Saturn was reported stolen out of
Salina, Kansas. Deputies observed an Arizona license plate on the vehicle and a
computer check revealed the plate was stolen. Deputies confirmed both females to
each have an outstanding warrant. Adkins and Jacobs were taken into custody
without incident. Adkins and Jacobs were transported and booked into the Mohave
County District III Substation.
THEFT – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Billy Leonard Neal, 19, of Kingman,
Tuesday (1/24) afternoon for theft, a felony. Deputies took a report of auto
theft that occurred Monday (1/23) from an auto sales business located in the
2300 block of Northern Avenue. The owner reported that they allowed Neal to test
drive a 1986 Honda Accord and Neal hadn’t returned with the vehicle. Deputies
learned that Neal was arrested by Kingman Police Department on Monday (1/23) and
is currently incarcerated at the Mohave County Jail. Deputies also learned that
the 1986 Honda Accord had been towed and impounded when Neal was arrested. At
about 1:00 p.m. deputies responded to the Mohave County Jail. Deputies contacted
Neal and charged him with the felony.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Richard Dennis Gary, 48, of Fontana,
Calif., early Tuesday (1/24) evening for assault/domestic violence, a
misdemeanor. Approximately 6:48 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic violence
call in the 7200 block of Mountain View and contacted the 41-year-old female
victim. The victim reported that she and her brother, Gary, were driving home
when Gary hit her multiple times in the face. Deputies observed injuries to the
victims’ face. The victim refused medical treatment. Deputies contacted Gary at
a residence in the 7100 block of Kaiser. During conversations with Gary, he
admitted to beating up his sister. Gary was taken into custody without incident.
Gary was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
COURT ORDER – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Angela Deann Hileman, 34, of Mohave
Valley, Tuesday (1/24) evening for failure to comply with court order, a
misdemeanor. Approximately 9:25 p.m., deputies responded to the 10500 block of
Bridle Lane regarding a violation of a court order. Deputies contacted the male
victim. The victim reported that Hileman called his house several times this
evening. The victim further said that he has an order of protection against
Hileman and she is not to call his house. Deputies contacted Hileman in the 8800
block of Highway 95. During conversations with Hileman, she said that she did
call the victims’ residence today and that she is aware of the court order.
Hileman was taken into custody without incident. Hileman was transported and
booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Katherine Martinez, 41, of Golden
Shores, early Monday (1/23) evening on a felony warrant for endangerment issued
by Bullhead City Justice Court. Approximately 5:21 p.m., deputies responded to a
disturbance in the 12600 block of Pima Parkway. Deputies contacted Martinez and
a record check showed Martinez to have an outstanding warrant. Martinez was
taken into custody without incident. Martinez was transported and booked into
the Mohave County District II Substation.
WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Horace Mann Williams, 41, of Hemet,
Calif., late Monday (1/23) evening on a fugitive from justice felony warrant
issued out of Riverside County in California. Deputies were informed by
Riverside County Sheriff’s Office of the whereabouts of a wanted felon.
Approximately 11:04 p.m., deputies contacted Williams in the 2100 block of
Thompson Avenue regarding his outstanding warrant. Williams was taken into
custody without incident. Williams was transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail.
ROBBERY/WEAPON OFFENSE – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Brent Emerson Sherrill, 18, of Mohave
Valley, early Friday (1/20) evening for robbery and possession of prohibited
weapon, a felony. Approximately 12:52 p.m., deputies responded to a robbery in
the 1800 block of Camp Mohave Road and contacted the 18-year-old male victim.
The victim reported that he was walking in the 1400 block of Gemini Street at
about 12:05 p.m. when a Ford Expedition occupied by three males stopped him. The
victim recognized the driver as Sherrill. The victim further reported that
Sherrill exited the vehicle and demanded money that the victim owed him. The
victim continued to report that Sherrill pushed him multiple times and took a
pair of sunglasses from him. An ATL (Attempt to Locate) was issued to area law
enforcement. Upon further investigations, at about 7:00 p.m., deputies observed
the suspects vehicle parked in the 600 block of Clearview Drive and observed
Sherrill walk out of a residence. Deputies contacted Sherrill. During
conversations with Sherrill, he admitted to taking a pair of sunglasses from the
victim. Sherrill was taken into custody without incident. A search of the
vehicle revealed a pair of nunchakus which are against the law to possess.
Sherrill was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation.
DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Helen Dawn Gilvarry, 26, of Golden
Valley, Saturday (1/21) afternoon for possession of drug paraphernalia, a
felony. Approximately 4:00 p.m., deputies contacted Gilvarry during a traffic
stop at Maverick Road and Chino. A record check showed Gilvarry to have a felony
warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor warrant for
failure to pay a fines, both issued by Kingman Justice Court. During
conversations, Gilvarry advised deputies that she was also in possession of a
pipe, commonly used to smoke methamphetamines. Gilvarry was taken into custody
without incident. Gilvarry was transported and booked into the Mohave County
Jail.
WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ashley Nicole Ireson, 21, of Lake
Havasu City, early Friday (1/20) morning on an outstanding warrant.
Approximately 8:30 a.m., deputies contacted Ireson in the 2100 block of
Smoketree. A record check showed Ireson to have a felony warrant for failure to
appear issued by Mohave County Superior Court. Ireson was taken into custody
without incident. Ireson was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District III Substation.
WARRANT ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James Thomas Apple, 43, of Bullhead
City, early Friday (1/20) afternoon for a felony arrest warrant. Approximately
12:30 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area Highway 95 and Hammer
Lane. Deputies contacted the driver, identified as Apple. A record check showed
Apple to have a fugitive from justice warrant issued out of California. Apple
was taken into custody without incident. Apple was transported and booked into
the Mohave County District II Substation. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Krisandrea Lynn Cashen, 49, of Golden
Valley, Saturday (1/21) on outstanding warrants. Approximately 3:00 p.m.,
deputies contacted Cashen in the 2700 block of Northfield Avenue. A record check
showed Cashen to have a felony warrant for theft and misdemeanor warrant for
domestic violence/assault, both issued by Kingman Justice Court. Cashen was
taken into custody without incident. Cashen was transported and booked into the
Mohave County Jail.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ruben Ceasar Lopez, 22, of Kingman,
Saturday (1/21) morning for domestic violence/assault, misdemeanor.
Approximately 6:30 a.m., deputies responded to a residence in the 2500 block of
Packard Avenue. Deputies contacted the 19-year-old female victim and observed
blood on her nose. The victim refused medical treatment. During conversations
with deputies, Lopez admitted to punching the victim in the nose during an
altercation. Lopez was taken into custody without incident. Lopez was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
DRUGS/WARRANTS ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Desiree M. Kendall, 22, and Buddy Ray
Cossey, 26, both from Kingman, late Friday (1/20) evening. Kendall was arrested
for possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony, and three warrants. Cossey was
arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia,
felonies. While deputies were on patrol in the area of Johnson Canyon, they
observed a Plymouth Neon with two occupants parked at the top of the mountain.
Approximately 11:45 p.m., deputies contacted the driver identified as Cossey and
passenger identified as Kendall. A record check showed Kendall to have two
probation violation warrants issued by Kingman Justice Court and a marijuana
violation warrant issued by Kingman Municipal Court, all felonies. Kendall was
taken into custody without incident. A search of Kendalls’ purse revealed a
marijuana pipe and a methamphetamine pipe. During conversations with Cossey, he
admitted to having a marijuana pipe in the car. Deputies located the marijuana
pipe under the driver’s seat. Cossey was taken into custody without incident. A
search of Cossey revealed a plastic bag containing marijuana. Kendall and Cossey
were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John Dennis Melton, 40, and Carole
Goswick, 38, both from Kingman, Sunday (1/22) evening. Melton was arrested for
possession of drug paraphernalia, felony, assault/domestic violence, a
misdemeanor, and failure to pay fines misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman
Justice Court. Goswick was arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and
possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Approximately 9:08 p.m., deputies
responded to a domestic violence report at the Kingman Police Department.
Deputies contacted the 38-year-old female victim. The victim reported that her
boyfriend, Melton, assaulted her earlier at their residence located in the 3500
block of John L Avenue. Deputies observed the victim to have bruising to the
neck area. Deputies contacted Melton at his residence. During conversations with
Melton, he said that he and Goswick were involved in a verbal fight and Goswick
attached him. Deputies were unable to detect any injuries on Melton. Melton was
taken into custody without incident. A record check showed Melton to have an
outstanding warrant. As deputies were retrieving a couple personal belongings of
Melton’s as requested by Melton, they observed a glass pipe in the bedroom.
Deputies got consent from Melton to conduct a search. Deputies also located a
plastic bag containing a crystal substance located inside a jewelry box. The
crystal substance field tested positive for methamphetamine. Deputies contacted
Goswick. During conversations with Goswick, she said that the jewelry box
belonged to her and she could not remember whether the plastic bag belonged to
her or to Melton. Goswick was taken into custody without incident. Melton and
Goswick were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – MEADVIEW
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jason Andrew Watson, 31, of Meadview,
Thursday (1/19) evening for aggravated assault domestic violence, a felony.
Approximately 9:05 p.m., deputies responded to the 26000 block of Apple Drive in
reference to a weapons offense that occurred on Diamond Creek Drive. Deputies
contacted the 32-year-old female victim. The victim reported that her husband,
Watson, pointed a gun at her earlier at their residence located in the 600 block
of Diamond Creek Drive. Deputies contacted Watson in the 600 block of Diamond
Creek Drive. Deputies located and confiscated two loaded firearms. Watson was
taken into custody without incident. During conversations with Watson, he said
that he became upset and threw the phone at the wall. Watson was transported and
booked into the Mohave County Jail.
FALSE REPORTING – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mattie S. Sauceda, 19, of Needles,
Calif., Wednesday (1/18) morning for false reporting to law enforcement and two
warrants for failure to appear issued by Kingman Justice Court and contempt of
court issued by Bullhead City Justice Court, all misdemeanors. Approximately
8:42 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 near Hewlett.
Deputies contacted the driver and passenger. The passenger provided deputies
with a false name. Deputies later learned the passengers’ identity to be Sauceda.
A record check showed Sauceda to have outstanding warrants. Sauceda was taken
into custody without incident. During conversations with Sauceda, she admitted
giving a false name to avoid being arrested for her warrants. Sauceda was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mark Allen Tippett, 43, of Golden
Valley on Tuesday (1/17) afternoon for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. MCSO
deputies along with Planning & Zoning and Environmental Health responded to a
residence in the 1900 block of Cascade. Tippett was contacted by authorities
after numerous complaints regarding health and safety issues as a result of the
condition of his property as well as suspected drug activity. A record check
showed Tippett to have a warrant for failure to appear issued by Kingman Justice
Court. Tippett was taken into custody without incident. Tippett was transported
and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
FATALITY ACCIDENT – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriffs deputies responded to a fatal accident on Sunday (1/15)
afternoon in the area of Mohave Wash, north of Lake Havasu City. At
approximately 1:30 pm, deputies arrived on scene and observed a pickup truck
that had gone down an embankment about 200 feet. Investigations revealed Adam
Wade West, 21, of Lake Havasu to be deceased. The investigation is on-going.
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies were assisted by BLM, Kingman Ranger, Lake
Havasu City Fire Department.
BURGLARY – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jason Edward Johnson, 26 and Curtis
Lee Chokie, 25, both of Kingman, on Sunday (1/15). On Saturday (1/14) at
approximately 8:00 pm, deputies responded to a call at a residence in the 2800
block of Devlin Avenue and contacted the reporting party. The RP stated he was
watching the residence for his neighbor and had noticed the garage and home had
been broken into. The RP reported that a 1991 Honda Accord and assorted tools
were missing from the garage and a computer and television were missing from
inside the residence. The vehicle was entered NCIC (National Crime Information
Center). On Sunday (1/15) at approximately 12:00 am, deputies observed the
vehicle in the 2800 block of Potter. A traffic stop was made and both Johnson
and Chokie were taken into custody without incident. Johnson was arrested for
theft of means of transportation, a felony and an outstanding misdemeanor
warrant for failure to appear issued by Kingman Justice Court. Chokie was
arrested for theft of means of transportation and probation violation issued by
Mohave County Superior Court, both felonies and misdemeanor warrants for
assault, domestic violence and probation violation, all issued by Kingman
Municipal Court. Johnson and Chokie were transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail.
FELONY ARREST – DOLAN SPRINGS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mindy Lynn Shaver, 24, of Dolan
Springs, on Friday (1/13) evening for domestic violence/disorderly conduct a
misdemeanor. Deputies also arrested James Michael Phelps, 27, of Dolan Springs.
At about 8:00 pm, deputies responded to a call in the 18400 block of Scenic
Drive and contacted the 53 year-old male victim. The victim reported that Shaver
and Phelps had been arguing inside the residence. The victim stated he told them
to leave the home if they were going to continue to argue. It was reported that
Shaver began to hit Phelps as the victim attempted to separate them. Deputies
spoke to Shaver who admitted to hitting Phelps. While deputies were speaking
with Shaver, a record check was conducted on Phelps. The record check showed
Phelps to have a felony warrant for probation violation issued out of Las Vegas,
Nev. As Phelps was being taken into custody, Shaver became upset and began
yelling. As deputies attempted to place Shaver into custody, she began to
resist. Shaver was further restrained before being taken into custody. Shaver
and Phelps were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Laveen Georgianna Miller, 34, of
Kingman on Friday (1/13) evening for possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony.
At approximately 8:30 pm, deputies contacted Miller during a traffic stop in the
area of Benton Street and Neal. A record check showed Miller to have a suspended
driver’s license and a misdemeanor warrant for interfering with judicial
proceedings. Miller was taken into custody without incident. A search revealed
Miller to be in possession of a plastic bag containing a powder residue. Miller
was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed
from the scene.
THEFT OF A VEHICLE – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Theresa Rose Thompson, 44, of Kingman
for possession of marijuana, possession of dangerous drugs and possession of
drug paraphernalia, felonies. Randy Van Eaton, 39, of Roosevelt, Az., was also
arrested for theft of means of transportation and possession of marijuana,
felonies. On Saturday (1/7) at approximately 3:00 pm, deputies responded to a
residence in the 2100 block of Neal Avenue. Deputies contacted the owner of the
vehicle who stated that her 1981 Toyota pickup had been taken without
permission. Deputies entered the vehicle into NCIC (National Crime Information
Center). On Saturday (1/14) at approximately 10:00 pm, deputies observed the
vehicle in the area of Highway 68 and Kelvin. Deputies conducted a traffic stop
and took both Thompson and Eaton into custody. A search revealed Thompson to be
in possession of marijuana, syringes and a plastic bag with a white crystal
substance. Eaton was found to be in possession of marijuana. A record check
showed Eaton to have four misdemeanor warrants for failure to pay fines issued
by Kingman Municipal Court. Both Thompson and Eaton were transported and booked
into the Mohave County Jail.
DRUGS – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Amber Marie Blum, 29, of Fort Mohave,
on Saturday (1/14) afternoon for possession of marijuana and possession of drug
paraphernalia, felonies. At approximately 3:45 pm, deputies contacted Blum
during a traffic stop in the area of Camp Mohave Road and Camino Ejercito. Blum
consented to allow deputies to search the vehicle. The search revealed a plastic
bag containing marijuana and a glass pipe. Blum was taken into custody without
incident. Blum was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Sub-station.
DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Rhonda J. Perry, 38, of Lake Havasu on
Friday (1/13) morning for possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony. At about
11:30 am, deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Highway 95 and Palo
Verde. A search revealed a purse inside the vehicle which contained a spoon with
white powder residue and a needle. Perry admitted to the purse belonging to her.
Perry was taken into custody without incident. Perry was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District III Sub-station.
ASSAULT- LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Aaron Gabriel Skill, 29, of Lake
Havasu City on Saturday (1/14) evening for assault/domestic violence,
misdemeanor. At approximately 10:30 pm, deputies responded to a call in the 1900
block of Hubbell Drive and contacted the 35 year-old female victim. The victim
reported that Skill had been drinking and began to argue with her. The victim
told deputies that during the altercation, Skill had hit her in the head. Skill
was taken into custody without incident. Skill was transported and booked into
the Mohave County District III Sub-station.
DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Marylou Louise Martin, 19, of Kingman
on Monday (1/16) evening for possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony. At
about 6:00 pm, deputies contacted Martin at a residence in the 2800 block of
Snavely Avenue. A record check showed Martin to have a felony warrant for
failure to appear and two misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear, all issued
by Kingman Justice Court. Martin was taken into custody without incident. A
search revealed Martin to be in possession of a glass pipe with a white powder
residue. Martin was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
SHOPLIFTING – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Lloyd Michael Dykes, 18, of Golden
Valley on Monday (1/16) for possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony and
shoplifting, a misdemeanor. At about 1:00 am, deputies responded to a call in
the 3600 block of Highway 68 and contacted the reporting party. The reporting
party stated that Dykes had come into the business, grabbed two 12 packs of beer
and ran out the door. The reporting party stated that he and another employee
chased Dykes and brought him back to the store until deputies arrived. Dykes was
taken into custody without incident. A search revealed Dykes to be in possession
of a marijuana pipe which was located inside his pocket. Dykes was transported
and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Rebecca Elizabeth Harper, 49, of
Golden Shores on Sunday (1/15) evening for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant.
At approximately 8:00 pm, deputies contacted Harper during a traffic stop in the
area of Highway 95 and Courtwright Road. A record check showed Harper to have a
warrant for failure to appear issued by Bullhead City Justice Court. Harper was
taken into custody without incident. Harper was transported and booked into the
Mohave County District II Sub-station.
WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Wallace Orin Lego III, of Bullhead
City, Friday (1/13) evening on a misdemeanor warrant. At approximately 9:00 pm,
deputies contacted Lego during a traffic stop in the 4500 block of Camino
Ejercito. A record check showed Lego to have a warrant for failure to appear
issued out of Bullhead City Justice Court. Lego was taken into custody without
incident. Lego was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Sub-station.
WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John Joseph Norton, 32, of Lake Havasu
City on Friday (1/13) afternoon on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. At
approximately 1:30 pm, deputies contacted Norton during a traffic stop in the
3100 block of London Bridge Road. A record check showed Norton to have a warrant
for failure to appear issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court. Norton was
taken into custody without incident. He was transported and booked into the
Mohave County District III Sub-station.
WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Virginia Kate Erickson, 22, of Fort
Mohave for an outstanding warrant. At about 2:00 pm, deputies contacted Erickson
in the area of Highway 95 and Aztec Drive. A record check showed Erickson to
have a misdemeanor warrant for issuing a bad check, issued by Bullhead City
Justice Court. Erickson was taken into custody. Erickson was transported and
booked into the Mohave County District II Sub-station.
WARRANT ARREST – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Dale Leo Braband, 41, of Golden
Valley, Saturday (1/14) morning on a misdemeanor warrant. At approximately 9:30
am, deputies contacted Braband in the area of Chino Drive and Lashalle. A record
check showed Braband to have a misdemeanor warrant for threatening issued by
Kingman Justice Court. Braband was taken into custody without incident. Braband
was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Robert Carpio, 21, of Lake
Havasu City, Friday 1/13) morning on a misdemeanor warrant. At about 10:00 am,
deputies contacted Carpio in the 3600 block of London Bridge Road. A record
check showed Carpio to have a misdemeanor warrant for a failure to appear.
Carpio was taken into custody without incident. Carpio was transported and
booked into the Mohave County District III Sub-station.

Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Mary Patricia Menard, 34, of
Kingman, Thursday (1/12) afternoon on two felony warrants for dangerous drug
violation and failure to appear, both issued by Kingman Justice Court.
Approximately 3:00 p.m., detectives conducted a traffic stop at N Bank Street
and Northern Avenue. Detectives contacted Menard. A record check showed Menard
to have outstanding warrants. Menard was taken into custody without incident.
Menard was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
WARRANTS ARREST – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Nanette Lynn Simons, 35, of Golden
Valley, early Friday (1/13) morning on two misdemeanor warrants for failure to
appear on original charges of domestic violence assault and failure to appear on
original charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, both issued by Kingman
Justice Court. Approximately 1:16 a.m., deputies responded to a suspicious
person on private property located in the 3500 block of Eden Road. Deputies
contacted the reporting party. The reporting party said that an unknown female
was knocking on his door for approximately 15 minutes. The reporting party
further said that the female was asleep on his front porch. Deputies woke the
female identified as Simons. A record check showed Simons to have outstanding
warrants. Simons was taken into custody without incident. Simons was transported
and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
DEATH INVESTIGATION – WIKIEUP
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle
late Tuesday (1/10) night that had an attempt to locate issued that same day by
Mesa Police Department in reference to a missing male subject identified as
James Aldrich Webb, 58, of Scottsdale. Webb was involved in a domestic dispute
in Mesa and he left driving a grey 2006 Chevrolet Malibu. Approximately 11:25
p.m. deputies responded to the new bridge construction site across from Burro
Creek Bridge, approximately 14 miles south of Wikieup, at milepost 139 on
Highway 93 where the vehicle was located. Department of Public Safety officers
and MCSO deputies searched the immediate area without locating Webb. Later,
Kingman Ranger responded and searched the cliffs and rural areas without
success. During the early morning daylight hours on Wednesday (1/11) Arizona
Department of Transportation employees observed a body lying in Burro Creek,
just below the bridge approximately 600 feet. Kingman Search and Rescue Units
responded to assist the MCSO in extricating the body from the canyon. Webb was
pronounced dead at the scene.
FORGERY – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Boni Jean Ramos, 26, of Kingman,
Tuesday (1/10) afternoon for forgery, a felony, and a warrant. Approximately
3:25 p.m., detectives responded to a report of forgery at a business located in
the 4400 block of N Bank Street. Detectives were advised by dispatch that there
were subjects attempting to cash a stolen check. Detectives contacted Ramos, who
was attempting to cash the check. During conversations with Ramos, she said that
she was given the check for working. Detectives contacted the account
holder/victim of the check. The victim said that he had recently been a victim
of a burglary and checks were stolen. Ramos was taken into custody without
incident. A record check showed Ramos to have a misdemeanor warrant for failure
to appear issued by Kingman Municipal Court. Ramos was transported and booked
into the Mohave County Jail.
PRISONER ASSAULT – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report at the Mohave County Jail
on Tuesday (1/10) in reference to an assault charge by an inmate. Approximately
12:20 p.m., deputies spoke with the victim a Corrections Officer, and reported
that Dennis Rual Nogales, 41, of Kingman, was being escorted to his cell when he
spit directly into the Corrections Officer’s face. An officer from the Kingman
Police Department brought Nogales into the jail and he was being processed and
booked on a misdemeanor charge. Nogales was also charged with prisoner assault
with bodily fluids, a felony.
FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Edward William Brown Jr., 49, of Fort
Mohave, late Tuesday (1/10) afternoon for failure to register as a sex offender,
a felony, and false report to law enforcement officers. Deputies were
investigating the whereabouts of an unregistered sex offender identified as
Brown. Deputies contacted Brown via his cellular phone. During conversations
with Brown, he said that he was no longer in Mohave County. Further
investigations led deputies to a residence in the 1900 block of Leisure Lane and
contacted Brown at about 4:15 p.m. Brown was taken into custody without
incident. Brown was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation without incident.
HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the death of a woman.
Detectives responded to the scene of a fire at about 1:33 p.m. on Monday (1/9)
in the 3500 block of Lory Lane. Hualapai Fire Department personnel were at the
scene extinguishing the mobile home fire. The body identified as Vivian C. Neal,
48, of Kingman, was located inside the residence. An autopsy is pending and
investigation is on-going.
WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Theresa Lee Powell, 43, of Kingman,
Monday (1/9) morning on a felony warrant for probation violation issued by
Mohave County Superior Court and a misdemeanor warrant for shoplifting issued
out of Coconino County. Approximately 9:30 a.m., deputies responded to a
disturbance in the 2500 block of Neal Avenue and contacted Powell. A record
check showed Powell to have outstanding warrants. Powell was taken into custody
without incident. Powell was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
DRUGS – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James Franklin Hubbard, 58, of Lake
Havasu City, Monday (1/9) morning for possession of marijuana for sale, a
felony. Approximately 9:54 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a male
subject attempting to sale drugs to an employee at a business located in the
14700 block of Highway 95. Deputies contacted the reporting party/employee. The
reporting party said that a male subject approached her and tried to sell her
marijuana. Deputies got a description of the male and the vehicle he was
driving. The male subject, later identified as Hubbard, was still at the scene.
Deputies contacted Hubbard. During conversations with Hubbard, he admitted to
trying to sell marijuana. Hubbard was in possession of a plastic bottle
containing marijuana. Hubbard was taken into custody without incident. Hubbard
was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.
DRUGS – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Thomas Susumu Tachihara Jr., 23, of
Mohave Valley, Monday (1/9) evening for possession of marijuana, felony, a
misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear issued by Bullhead City Justice Court
and an off road vehicle violation, misdemeanor. Approximately 9:10 p.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop on an all terrain vehicle in the area of
Mountain View Road and Everglades. Deputies contacted the operator identified as
Tachihara. A record check showed Tachihara to have an outstanding warrant. A
search revealed Tachihara to be in possession of marijuana. Tachihara was taken
into custody without incident. Tachihara was transported and booked into the
Mohave County District II Substation. The ATV was towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested James Brian Urie, 48, of Bullhead
City, Monday (1/9) morning on a felony warrant for failure to comply with sex
offender registration violation issued by Kingman Justice Court. At about 10:50
a.m., Urie came into the MCSO to update his sex requirement as a registered sex
offender. Detectives learned that Urie has an outstanding warrant. Urie was
taken into custody without incident. Urie was transported and booked into the
Mohave County Jail.
FALSE REPORT – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michelle Ann St George, 41, of Golden
Shores, Friday (1/6) evening on a felony warrant for failure to appear issued by
Bullhead City Justice Court, false report to law enforcement officer, disorderly
conduct and DUI, misdemeanors. Approximately 8:21 p.m., deputies responded to a
fight involving 5 to 6 people with weapons at a business in the 5000 block of
Powell Lake. As deputies arrived, they contacted a female subject, identified as
St George, as she was about to exit the parking lot driving her vehicle. During
conversations with St George, she said that she and her boyfriend got into a
fight earlier. Deputies learned that St George called 911 reporting people
fighting with weapons. Deputies observed St George’s speech to be slurred and
her eyes red. Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on St George. St George
admitted to have been drinking. Throughout conversations with St George, she was
uncooperative and difficult to get information from. Deputies explained the
field sobriety tests (FST’s) to St George multiple times, but she continued to
argue and be disruptive. Eventually, St George refused to take the field
sobriety tests. St George was taken into custody without incident. St George was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
2X’S DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Debra Lea Spain, 39, of Mohave Valley,
Friday (1/6) evening on two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, a
felonies. Approximately 9:40 p.m., deputies responded to a theft at a business
located in the 5500 block of Highway 95 and contacted the owner/reporting party.
The reporting party said that he suspected one of his employees, Spain, of
stealing from the register. Deputies contacted Spain. During conversations with
Spain, she denied any involvements in the theft. Deputies got consent to search
Spain’s purse. The search revealed a glass pipe with a white substance located
inside and a metal pipe with marijuana residue. Spain was taken into custody
without incident. Spain was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District II Substation.
2X’S DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Shannon Noah Smith, 34, of Mohave
Valley, Saturday (1/7) afternoon on two counts of possession of drug
paraphernalia, a felony. Approximately 3:28 p.m., deputies responded to a
disturbance in the 2400 block of Palo Verde Drive and contacted Smith. Deputies
got consent to search Smith. Deputies located a pipe with marijuana residue and
a plastic bag containing numerous brass screens for the pipe. During
conversations with Smith, he said that he uses the pipe to smoke marijuana.
Smith was taken into custody without incident. Smith was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District II Substation.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Angela Dae Bryson, 20, of Fort Mohave,
late Saturday (1/7) afternoon for aggravated assault domestic violence, a
felony, and a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines issued by Bullhead
City Justice Court. Approximately 4:21 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic
violence call in the 5500 block of Topaz Street and contacted the 46-year-old
female victim. The victim reported that her son’s girlfriend, Bryson, kicked her
bedroom door open and threw a candle at her causing a cut to her nose. Mohave
Valley Fire personnel responded and treated the victim. The victim refused to be
transported to the hospital. Just prior to the deputy’s arrival, Bryson left
walking. Shortly thereafter, deputies located Bryson in the desert area, west of
the residence. Bryson was taken into custody without incident. During
conversations with Bryson, she said that she did not mean to cause injury to the
victim. Bryson was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation.
PROMOTING PRISON CONTRABAND – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report at the Mohave County Jail
on Saturday (1/7) due to drugs found on an inmate. Approximately 5:50 p.m.,
deputies spoke with the Corrections Officer and she reported that she was
conducting a contraband search on an inmate when a plastic bag fell from the
inmate to the ground. Further examination revealed marijuana inside the plastic
bag. Kim William Dawson, 38, of Golden Valley, was charged with possession of
marijuana and promoting prison contraband, felonies.
DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Allen Dean Boatright, 41, of Kingman,
early Sunday (1/8) morning for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of
drug paraphernalia, felonies, along with two warrants. Approximately 12:44 a.m.,
deputies contacted a male subject as he was walking eastbound on Northern Avenue
in the 2600 block. The male subject was identified as Boatright. Deputies got
consent to search Boatright’s backpack. The search revealed a tin box containing
numerous small plastic bags with white residue and some containing a crystal
substance. The crystal substance field tested positive for methamphetamine.
Boatright was taken into custody without incident. A search of Boatright
revealed a syringe. During conversations with Boatright, he said that he did not
know how the tin box got into his backpack and how the syringe got into his
pocket. A record check showed Boatright to have two misdemeanor warrants for
failure to appear on charges of assault domestic violence on 9-28-05 and
contempt of court on charges of DUI on 9-28-05, both issued by Kingman Justice
Court. Boatright was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Lavonna Claudette Long, 40, of
Bullhead City, early Sunday (1/8) morning on a probation violation felony
warrant issued by Mohave County Superior Court on original charges of assault.
Approximately 1:47 a.m., deputies responded to a suspicious female in the 3900
block of El Rodeo Road. Deputies contacted the female identified as Long. A
record check showed Long to have an outstanding warrant. Long was taken into
custody without incident. Long was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District II Substation.
WARRANT ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jason Scott Gibson, 33, of Lake Havasu
City, early Sunday (1/8) afternoon on a failure to appear misdemeanor warrant
issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court on original charges of possession of
drug paraphernalia. Approximately 1:13 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop
in the 3800 block of London Bridge Road. Deputies contacted Gibson and a record
check showed Gibson to have an outstanding warrant. Gibson was taken into
custody without incident. Gibson was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District III Substation.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jerry Lewis Allen, 47, of Fort Mohave,
Sunday (1/8) evening for disorderly conduct domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
Approximately 10:19 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 4700 block
of Highway 95 and contacted the 64-year-old female victim. The victim reported
that her son, Allen, was intoxicated and would not leave her residence. The
victim further reported that Allen became angry and began yelling and using
profanities at her. Deputies contacted Allen and took him into custody without
incident. Allen was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/BURGLARY – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Kevin Lee Dennis, 32, of Kingman,
Thursday (1/5) morning for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and burglary,
felonies, along with a warrant. Approximately 7:07 a.m., deputies responded to a
burglary in progress in the 6600 block of Minnesota Way. While enroute, deputies
were informed by dispatch that the suspects left in a vehicle and were being
followed by the witness. While the witness was following the suspects on
Stockton Hill Road near milepost 8, the suspect’s vehicle attempted to run the
witnesses vehicle off the road. The witness continued to follow the suspects to
the 5100 block of Edie Drive, where the two male suspects exited their vehicle
and fled on foot, traveling east into a field. A short time later, a K-9 was
deployed and located one of the male suspects, later identified as Dennis, lying
in a wash on his stomach. Deputies took Dennis into custody without incident.
The witness, who later became a victim, identified Dennis as one of the suspects
who was driving the 1991 Isuzu Trooper. A search of the suspects’ vehicle
revealed numerous plastic container containing miscellaneous tools. In the
meantime, the search continued with the assistance of Department of Public
Safety, Kingman Ranger, for the second male suspect without success. Further
investigations led deputies to the residence that was burglarized in the 6600
block of Minnesota Way. Deputies contacted the home owner and determined the
tools in the plastic containers were taken from his property. A record check
showed Dennis to have a misdemeanor warrant for probation violation issued by
Mohave County Superior Court. Dennis was transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Marci Kay Gibson, 40, of Lake Havasu
City, Thursday (1/5) morning on a felony warrant for failure to appear issued by
Mohave County Superior Court. Approximately 7:46 a.m., deputies contacted Gibson
at a residence in the 3100 block of Iroquois Drive regarding her outstanding
warrant. Gibson was taken into custody without incident. Gibson was transported
and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.
TRESPASSING – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Brian Lee Pintarich, 29, of Kingman,
early Thursday (1/5) afternoon for criminal trespassing, a felony, and
outstanding warrants. Approximately 1:34 p.m., deputies responded to a
trespassing call in the 2900 block of McVicar Avenue. Deputies were informed by
dispatch that the owner had a male subject detained. Deputies took the male
suspect identified as Pintarich into custody without incident. Deputies
contacted the owner, a 55-year-old male victim. The victim reported that he went
inside his residence and found a male suspect walking out one of the bedrooms. A
record check showed Pintarich to have two misdemeanor warrants for disorderly
conduct and failure to appear, both issued by Kingman Justice Court. Pintarich
was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Richard Dean Johnson, 45, of Kingman,
early Thursday (1/5) evening on a felony warrant for possession of drug
paraphernalia and two misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear and
threatening/intimidating, all issued by Kingman Justice Court. Approximately
6:34 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 2800 block of McVicar
Avenue and contacted Johnson. A record check showed Johnson to have outstanding
warrants. Johnson was taken into custody without incident. Johnson was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Geneveva Joann Moreno, 20, of Fort
Mohave, Thursday (1/5) evening on a felony warrant for drug paraphernalia
violation issued by Bullhead City Justice Court. Approximately 7:15 p.m.,
deputies contacted Moreno in the 5400 block of Tierra Linda Drive regarding her
outstanding warrant. Moreno was taken into custody without incident. Moreno was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST – BULLHEAD CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Vincent Quitmeyer, 52, of Bullhead
City, Wednesday (1/4) evening on a felony warrant for theft and fraud issued by
Bullhead City Justice Court. Approximately 9:00 p.m., deputies contacted
Quitmeyer at a residence in the 2100 block of Balboa regarding his outstanding
warrant. Quitmeyer was taken into custody without incident. Quitmeyer was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
DRUGS – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Sean Michael Moyle, 26, of Kingman,
early Thursday (1/5) morning for possession of dangerous drugs, a felony, and
two warrants. Approximately 1:55 a.m., deputies contacted Moyle as he was
walking in the area of Marshall Street and Snavely Avenue. During conversations
with Moyle, he said that he had two misdemeanor warrants. A record check
confirmed Moyle to have two misdemeanor warrants for contempt of court issued by
Kingman Justice Court and failure to appear issued by Kingman Municipal Court. A
search of Moyle revealed a white crystal substance wrapped in plastic. Further
conversations with Moyle, he said the substance is methamphetamine. The white
crystal substance field tested positive for methamphetamine. Moyle was taken
into custody without incident. Moyle was transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – MEADVIEW
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Thomas E. Prince, 41, of Meadview,
late Monday (1/2) morning for criminal damage domestic violence, a misdemeanor.
Approximately 11:18 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 400 block
of Badger Cove. When deputies arrived, they observed Prince exit a residence and
throw a phone down on the concrete causing it to shatter. Deputies approached
Prince and detained him. Deputies contacted the 66-year-old female victim. The
victim reported that her son, Prince, may have damaged the apartment that he
lives in. Deputies inspected the apartment and observed items scattered and a
large hole in the dry wall next to the front door. Deputies contacted Prince
regarding the damaged wall. During conversations with Prince, he said that he
kicked a hold in the wall. Prince was transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail without incident.
INJURY ACCIDENT – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies investigated a traffic accident that occurred
on Shinarump Drive, just past Oatman Road, approximately 5 miles northwest of
Kingman, Monday (1/2) evening. At about 7:00 p.m. deputies responded to a
single-vehicle accident where a red 1991 Jeep Cherokee landed in a ditch on the
west side of Shinarump Drive. The vehicle was driven by Charles Tefft, 33, of
Golden Valley, the only occupant in the Jeep and he was ejected from the
vehicle. Tefft was transported to Kingman Regional Medical Center and was later
airlifted to University Medical Center in Las Vegas and is currently listed in
critical condition. This accident remains under investigation and alcohol may be
a factor.
DRUGS – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Stephanie Elise Wagner, 40, of Golden
Valley, Friday (12/30) evening for possession of marijuana and possession of
drug paraphernalia, felonies. Approximately 11:30 p.m., deputies conducted a
traffic stop in the 3400 block of Adobe Road and contacted the driver,
identified as Wagner. A record check revealed Wagner to have a suspended
driver’s license. Wagner was taken into custody without incident. A search
revealed Wagner to be in possession of a plastic bag containing marijuana and a
marijuana pipe. Wagner was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Edward Charles Moya Jr., 52, of Fort
Mohave, Friday (12/30) evening for aggravated assault and possession of drug
paraphernalia, felonies. Approximately 10:00 p.m., deputies responded to a
business in the 4500 block of Highway 95 and contacted Department of Public
Safety officers along with Fort Mohave Tribal officers who had taken Moya into
custody. Deputies contacted witnesses at the business who reported that Moya had
stabbed a male subject. Deputies spoke with the 24-year-old male victim who
reported that Moya charged at him with a knife. The victim told deputies that as
he attempted to get out of the way, the knife grazed his chest. The victim
refused medical treatment. Deputies spoke with Moya who stated he had another
altercation with the victim approximately one month prior to this incident. A
search revealed Moya to be in possession of a marijuana pipe with burnt residue.
Moya was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Deborah Jean Stanfill-Sagely, 49, and
Edward Karl Smith, 56, both of Kingman. On Saturday (12/31) at approximately
12:30 a.m., deputies contacted Stanfill-Sagely and Smith in the area of
Northfield Avenue and Castle Rock Road. A record check showed Stanfill-Sagely to
have a felony warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia issued by Kingman
Justice Court. The record check also revealed Smith to have a felony warrant for
fraud issued by Kingman Justice Court. Stanfill-Sagely and Smith were taken into
custody without incident. Both Stanfill-Sagely and Smith were transported and
booked into the Mohave County Jail.
DUI - KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Randy Gene Remling Jr., 22, of
Kingman, early Saturday (12/31) morning for DUI and DUI with a blood alcohol
concentration over .08%, misdemeanors. Approximately 3:00 a.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop on Hearne Avenue and Bank Street and contacted Remling,
the driver. Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Remling. Following the field
sobriety tests (FST’s), Remling was taken into custody and a blood alcohol
concentration test revealed his BAC to be .143%. Remling was transported and
booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident.
VANDALISM – DOLAN SPRINGS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joann Elaine Wojtacki, 45, of Dolan
Springs, Sunday (1/1) morning for criminal damage, a felony. Approximately 9:15
a.m., deputies responded to a woman throwing rocks at windows of a business
located in the 16000 block of Pierce Ferry Road. While enroute, dispatch
informed deputies that windows were being broken and that a fire fighter
witnessed a woman, later identified as Wojtacki, break the windows. Deputies
observed 6 windows and 2 glass doors broken. Wojtacki was not at the scene when
deputy’s arrived. Deputies contacted the witness. The witness said that he
observed a woman throwing rocks at the business windows. Deputies contacted
another witness which identified the woman as Wojtacki. Deputies contacted
Wojtacki at a residence in the 16000 block of Stirrup Circle. During
conversations with Wojtacki, she said that she through rocks through the
windows. Wojtacki was taken into custody without incident. Wojtacki was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
VANDALISM – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Thomas Laverne Scofield, 33, of Lake
Havasu City, early Saturday (12/31) morning for criminal damage, a misdemeanor.
Approximately 1:55 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the 4000 block
of London Bridge Road and contacted the 44-year-old male victim. The victim
reported that Scofield came over to his house and he would not leave. The victim
further reported that Scofield picked up a plastic chair in the driveway and
threw it across his car, breaking the chair. The victim continued to report that
Scofield ran over a lamp post as he was driving away. A Deputy contacted
Scofield at a residence in the 900 block of Quail Ridge in Lake Havasu City and
was assisted by an officer from Lake Havasu City Police Department. Scofield was
taken into custody without incident. Scofield was transported and booked into
the Mohave County District III Substation.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Alfred Joseph Morin, 53, of Golden
Valley, Saturday (12/31) evening for aggravated assault domestic violence, a
felony, and three warrants. Approximately 8:08 p.m., deputies responded to a
domestic violence call in the 3600 block of Elroy Road and contacted the
reporting party. The reporting party said that her friend, a 40-year-old female
victim was assaulted by Morin. Deputies observed the victims’ jaw to be injured.
The victim reported that her husband, Morin, hit her. Medical responded and
transported the victim to Kingman Regional Medical Center. Deputies contacted
Morin and observed his nose to be swollen. Morin refused medical treatment. A
record check showed Morin to have the following misdemeanor warrants for failure
to appear, interfering with judicial proceedings and threat-intimidate, all
issued by Kingman Justice Court. Morin was taken into custody without incident.
Morin was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jose Hermando Amezcua, 28, of Lake
Havasu City, early Sunday (1/1) morning on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to
appear issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court on 10-21-04. Deputies cited Ryan
K. Jordan, 20, of Glendale, Ariz., for minor consumption, a misdemeanor.
Approximately 12:01 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at London Bridge
Road at Queens Bay and contacted Amezcua, the driver. A record check showed
Amezcua to have an outstanding warrant. Amezcua was taken into custody without
incident. Deputies observed an open beer in the rear passenger area where a male
passenger was sitting. Deputies contacted the passenger identified as Jordan.
Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Jordan. During conversations with Jordan,
he said the beer belonged to him and that he was consuming the beer. Jordan was
cited and released. Amezcua was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District III Substation.
EXTREME DUI – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Curtis Lee Sproul, 21, of Lake Havasu
City, early Sunday (1/1) morning for DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration
over .08%, and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .15%,
misdemeanors. Approximately 1:36 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on
Highway 95 at S. Acoma and contacted Sproul, the driver. While speaking with
Sproul, deputies observed him to have blood shot eyes and slurred speech.
Further conversations with Sproul, he admitted to have been drinking. Following
the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Sproul was taken into custody and transported
to the Mohave County District III Substation where an analysis revealed his
blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .156%. He was booked into the jail
without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mathew James Hutchinson, 50, of Lake
Havasu City, early Friday (12/30) evening for assault domestic violence, a
misdemeanor. Approximately 7:00 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic violence
call in the 3500 block of Highway 95 and contacted the reporting party. The
reporting party said that he observed a male subject, later identified as
Hutchinson, throw a female to the ground. Deputies contacted the 45-year-old
female victim. The victim reported that Hutchinson threw her to the ground and
pulled her hair. The victim refused medical treatment. Deputies contacted
Hutchinson. During conversations with Hutchinson, he denied putting his hands on
the victim. Hutchinson was taken into custody without incident. Hutchinson was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Sherry Ann Felts, 49, of Golden
Valley, early Saturday (12/31) morning for aggravated assault on law enforcement
officer, a felony, and a warrant. Approximately 12:11 a.m., deputies responded
to a disturbance in the 6700 block of Shipp Drive and contacted the reporting
party. The reporting party said that his friend, Felts, had been acting
irrational for several hours. As deputies continued their conversations with the
reporting party, Felts lay on the couch and frequently said profanities to the
deputy. Felts would not cooperate with deputy’s questions as she continued to
say profanities. Felts got up from the couch and swung her left arm and fist at
the deputy. Deputies took Felts into custody after a brief struggle. A record
check revealed Felts to have a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear issued
by Kingman Justice Court. Golden Valley Fire Department responded to examine
Felts without success, as Felts would not cooperate. River Valley Medical
responded and transported Felts to Kingman Regional Medical Center for an
assessment. KRMC staff determined that Felts had a high level of alcohol in her
system. A few hours later, Felts was released from KRMC. Felts was transported
and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
BURGLARY – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Christopher John Mathews, 44, of Fort
Mohave, Monday (1/2) for burglary, a felony. Approximately 4:40 a.m., deputies
assisted Fort Mohave Tribal Police in the 7100 block of Highway 95 regarding a
possible burglary. Fort Mohave Tribal Police Officers stopped a white truck
pulling out of a business parking lot and it appeared to have stolen items in
the truck. The vehicle was observed coming from the rear of a tire business.
FMTP Officers observed approximately 12 tires in the bed of the pickup truck.
The driver, identified as Mathews was arrested by Fort Mohave Trial Police on
drug charges. The business appeared to be secured and nothing in the truck was
determined to have been stolen. Mathews was booked into the Mohave County
District II Substation. Further investigations revealed the business had been
broken into and tires were taken. Deputies interviewed Mathews. During
conversations with Mathews, he said that he located the tires outside of the
fence and loaded them into his vehicle.
THEFT – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Steven Paul Montoya, 44, of Golden
Shores, late Monday (1/2) afternoon for trafficking stolen property, a felony,
and a warrant. On November 24, 2005, deputies responded to a report of a stolen
dune buggy from a residence located in the 5200 block of Casa Grande Drive. The
57-year-old male victim said that he was storing his dune buggy at the residence
and he noticed it was missing. Deputies contacted a female at the residence and
she said that she thought the dune buggy had been picked up by the owner. The
dune buggy was described as a 2 seater Johnny Frame with a Volkswagen motor.
Further investigations led deputies to contact Montoya. During conversations
with Montoya, he said that he was storing the dune buggy at his residence until
he traded it to a female and male. Montoya was taken into custody without
incident. A record check showed Montoya to have a failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Bullhead City Justice Court. Montoya was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
