FELONY WARRANT – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Larry Ward Jr., 36, of
Kingman, early Thursday (12/29) afternoon on a felony warrant for fugitive from
justice issued out of Riverside County in California. At about 9:30 a.m.,
deputies received information from the California Department of Corrections in
reference to a wanted subject for a parole violation living in the Mohave County
area. The wanted subject identified as Ward failed to report to the sex offender
registry about his out of state move, therefore in violation of his parole.
Approximately 12:57 p.m., deputies contacted Ward in the 3600 block of Andy
Devine Avenue regarding his outstanding warrant. Ward was taken into custody
without incident. Ward was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John Keith Melton, 31, of Kingman,
Thursday (12/29) evening for possession for dangerous drugs, possession of
marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, along with a
misdemeanor warrant. Approximately 9:24 p.m., deputies contacted Melton walking
at the intersection of Norrie Drive and Neal Avenue. A record check showed
Melton to have an outstanding misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines on
original charges of possession of drug paraphernalia issued by Kingman Justice
Court. Melton was taken into custody without incident. A search of Melton
revealed a wooden box containing marijuana, a syringe and a plastic case
containing crystals. Melton was transported and booked into the Mohave County
Jail.
RESISTING ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jason David Sturdivant, 31, of Fort
Mohave, Thursday (12/29) evening for resisting arrest, a felony, and
threatening/intimidating, a misdemeanor. At about 10:45 p.m., Fort Mohave Tribal
Police Officer brought Sturdivant to the Mohave County District II Substation to
be booked on a warrant. As Sturdivant was being processed, he became agitated
with Correction Officers commands and he would not comply with their orders.
Sturdivant continued to resist orders and threatened the officers. Sturdivant
was further restrained and was transported to the Mohave County Jail without
further incident.
DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Brian Keith Phillips, 23, of Lake
Havasu City, early Wednesday (12/28) afternoon for possession of drug
paraphernalia, a felony. Approximately 12:52 p.m., deputies attempted to conduct
a traffic stop as the vehicle continued without stopping. Deputies caught up
with the vehicle in the 1700 block of Sailing Hawks Drive. The vehicle was
unoccupied. Deputies located three male occupants of the vehicle approximately
200 yards away in a wash. Deputies commanded one of the subjects, later
identified as Phillips, to come toward him. Deputies observed Phillips drop
something to the ground. Deputies retrieved the item and determined it to be a
glass pipe. Phillips was taken into custody without incident. Deputies walked
the three subjects back to the patrol unit. During conversations with Phillips,
he said the pipe belonged to him. Deputies search of other two male subject and
located a pipe with marijuana residue on a 17-year-old male. The juvenile was
released to his guardian. A juvenile referral has been submitted to the Mohave
County Juvenile Probation. Phillips was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District III Substation.
WEAPON OFFENSE – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Steven Michael Gingrich, 27, of Fort
Mohave, Wednesday (12/28) evening for possession of weapon by prohibited person,
a felony. Approximately 9:14 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area
of Highway 95 and Camp Mohave. Deputies contacted the driver identified as
Gingrich. A record check showed Gingrich to have a misdemeanor warrant for
failure to appear issued out of Peoria Justice Court. Gingrich was taken into
custody without incident. A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded gun located
under the driver’s seat. Deputies learned through a criminal history check that
Gingrich had been convicted of a felony. Gingrich was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District II Substation.
FATAL ACCIDENT – LAKE MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle rollover accident
on Katherine Mine Road late Wednesday (12/28) afternoon. Approximately 4:05
p.m., deputies responded to the scene of a fatal rollover accident where Ronald
Dale Hull, 49, of Orange, Calif., was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigations determined speed was a factor in this accident.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/RESISTING ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Julian Francisco Velasco, 20, of Fort
Mohave, early Tuesday (12/27) afternoon for aggravated assault on law
enforcement officer, aggravated assault, resisting arrest and custodial
interference, felonies. Approximately 12:09 p.m., deputies responded to a
disturbance in the 4400 block of Heather Avenue and contacted the reporting
party. The reporting party said that his son, Velasco, locked him out of his
house. Deputies contacted Velasco. Velasco became combative and resisted orders.
Deputies further restrained Velasco after a brief struggle. Velasco was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation without
further incident.
WARRANT ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ronnie Paul Allen, 25, of Lake Havasu
City, early Tuesday (12/27) afternoon on a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of
court issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court. Approximately 12:42 p.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 at W. Acoma and contacted Allen,
the driver. A record check showed Allen to have an outstanding warrant. Allen
was taken into custody without incident. Allen was transported and booked into
the Mohave County District III Substation.
FAILURE TO REGISTER AS A SEX OFFENDER – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mark O. White, 51, of Kingman, late
Tuesday (12/27) afternoon for failing to register as a sex offender, a felony.
Approximately 3:55 p.m., deputies contacted White in the 4700 block of Thompson
Way regarding White failing to comply with sex offender requirements in failing
to report a change of address. White was taken into custody without incident.
White was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Christine E. Cruze, 33, of Fort
Mohave, late Tuesday (12/27) afternoon on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to
pay fines on original charges of assault issued by Bullhead City Justice Court.
Approximately 3:55 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Camp Mohave Road
at Wise Road and contacted Cruze, the driver. A record check showed Cruze to
have an outstanding warrant. Cruze was taken into custody without incident.
Cruze was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Patrick Moriarty, 39, of
Kingman, Tuesday (12/27) evening for criminal damage, a felony. Approximately
9:45 p.m., deputies responded to delayed traffic accident report in the 3600
block of Diagonal Way and contacted the 16-year-old male victim. The victim
reported that earlier that evening he was driving to a friend’s house. As he was
traveling east on Devlin Avenue, he unintentionally veered toward a parked red
Chevy S-10 truck briefly. He continued down the street and parked his Jeep in a
lot near Patsy Drive and Devlin Avenue. Shortly thereafter, a male occupant
driving the red Chevy S-10 drove into the lot and rammed the left side of his
vehicle and left. Deputies contacted two passengers and they confirmed the
victims’ statements. Deputies responded to Devlin Avenue and located the red
Chevy S-10 truck in the 3800 block. Deputies observed damage to the trucks front
end. Deputies contacted a male subject at the residence identified as Moriarty.
During conversations with Moriarty, he said that he drove to the empty lot and
drove near the Jeep. Further conversations with Moriarty, he said that as he
drove around the front of the jeep, the jeep started to leave and both vehicles
collided. Moriarty was taken into custody without incident. Moriarty was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
HOMICIDE – DOLAN SPRINGS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Lake Mohave Ranchos Fire
Station, 16126 Pierce Ferry Road, in reference to a shooting. Sunday (12/25)
morning, at about 5:25 a.m., deputies were contacted by a firefighter. The
firefighter reported that a male subject was being treated in the rear of a
parked ambulance at the fire station. Deputies contacted the victim, identified
as Randall Hancock Eller III, 37, of Dolan Springs. The victim reported that he
and a friend were traveling on Cedar Road and stopped at the Pierce Ferry Road
stop sign when a male subject approached the vehicle and shot him. The victim
provided deputies with a description of the suspect. The driver, Roy Delos
Estes, drove the victim to the fire station. The victim was flown to University
Medical Center in Nevada where he later died from an apparent gun shot wound.
During the course of the investigation detectives learned that the altercation
occurred over a stolen water trailer. Detectives contacted Vincent James Brink,
59, of Dolan Springs, at Cattle Drive and 3rd Street. Upon further
investigation, Brink was arrested for 1st degree murder, a felony. Brink was
taken into custody, transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without
incident. Detectives would like to speak further with Estes, as he was a
witness. Estes is asked to contact the Detective Division at the Mohave County

FELONY WARRANT/DRUGS – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Patrick Joseph Domenico, 37, of Golden
Valley, and Rebecca Rene Link, 26, of Boseman, Missouri, early Saturday (12/24)
morning. Domenico was arrested for arrest prior to requisition felony warrant
issued out of Gallatin Colorado and a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Link was
arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia,
felonies. Approximately 12:03 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the
3400 block of Mobil Road and contacted Domenico, the driver. A record check
showed Domenico to have a suspended license and an outstanding warrant. Domenico
was taken into custody without incident. Deputies also contacted two passengers
and had them exit the vehicle. Deputies located two syringes containing a clear
liquid inside a zippered case in the front seat area. Deputies determined the
syringes belonged to Link. The liquid in the syringes tested positive for
methamphetamine. Link was taken into custody without incident. Domenico and Link
were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was
released to the other passenger.
DRUGS – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Barbara Elaine Case, 25, a transient,
early Sunday (12/25) morning for possession of dangerous drugs, a felony, and a
misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear issued by Bullhead City Municipal
Court. Approximately 12:52 a.m., deputies stopped Case while she was riding a
bicycle in the 2900 block of Butler Avenue. A record check showed Case to have
an outstanding warrant. A search of Case revealed a plastic bag containing a
crystal substance which tested positive for methamphetamine. Case was taken into
custody without incident. Case was transported and booked into the Mohave County
Jail.
AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/RESISTING ARREST – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested John Floyd Castillo III, 24, of Mohave
Valley, early Sunday (12/25) morning for aggravated assault, resisting arrest,
felonies, and disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor. Approximately 1:22 a.m.,
deputies responded to a loud music call in the 10000 block of Pamela Street.
Fort Mohave Tribal Police Officers responded and assisted. Deputies knew a party
was going on at that location. Deputies observed loud music coming from the
residence. Deputies contacted the owner identified as Castillo. Immediately
Castillo was uncooperative. As deputies were going to cite Castillo, he began
walking away from them. Castillo walked into his residence and attempted to slam
the door as deputies were behind him. Following a brief struggle, Castillo was
taken into custody. Castillo continued to resist as he was escorted to the
patrol unit. As Castillo, was being assisted into the vehicle, he head butted a
deputy with the back of his head. Castillo was further restrained with pepper
spray. Castillo was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation without further incident. Medical responded to the jail where
Castillo was treated and released.
DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Reginald Allen Johnson, 38, of Lake
Havasu City, early Monday (12/26) afternoon for possession of dangerous drugs,
possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies, and
possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Approximately 1:28 p.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 4800 block of London Bridge Road and
contacted Johnson, the driver. A record check showed Johnson to have a suspended
driver’s license. A search of Johnson and his vehicle revealed multiple pipes,
marijuana stored in a plastic container, a plastic bag containing a white
crystal substance, two scales and numerous valium tablets. The white crystal
substance tested positive for methamphetamine. Johnson was taken into custody
without incident. Johnson was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District II Substation.
BURGLARY – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Walter Argueta, 30, of Kingman, early
Monday (12/26) afternoon for burglary, a felony. Approximately 1:15 p.m.,
deputies responded to a theft in the 2300 block of Devlin Avenue and contacted
the 62-year-old male victim. The victim reported that someone had taken a tire
from his yard today. Deputies contacted a witness. A witness reported that they
observed a male subject jump the fence into the victims’ yard and take the tire.
The witness provided a description of the male and that he left in an older
green Ford pickup. As deputies were talking with the witness, the suspected
vehicle drove near. Deputies got into their patrol unit and conducted a traffic
stop in the 2400 block of Hearne Avenue and contacted the driver, identified as
Argueta. During conversations with Argueta, he said that he took the tire from
an alley way as he didn’t think that the tire belonged to anyone. Argueta was
taken into custody without incident. Argueta was transported and booked into the
Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
THEFT/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Dale Gene Hanson, 34, of Kingman,
early Monday (12/26) evening for possession of stolen property/theft, possession
of drug paraphernalia, felonies, driving with suspended license, a misdemeanor,
and two misdemeanor warrants for assault and contempt of court, both issued by
Kingman Justice Court. Approximately 7:00 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic
stop in the 3800 block of Thompson Avenue and contacted Hanson, the driver. A
record check showed Hanson to have a suspended driver’s license and outstanding
warrants. Hanson was taken into custody without incident. A search of the
vehicle revealed a syringe hidden inside a beanie cap. Deputies also located a
red Honda generator that was reported stolen to Kingman Police Department on
9-8-05. An Officer from the Kingman Police Department responded and took
possession of the generator. During conversations with Hanson, he said that he
purchased the generator from a friend. Hanson was transported and booked into
the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
THEFT – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Lance Wayne Davis, 23, of Golden
Shores, early Tuesday (12/27) morning for unlawful use of means of
transportation, a felony. Approximately 1:00 a.m., deputies responded to a theft
of a vehicle in the 12700 block of Cortaro Drive and contacted the 48-year-old
female victim. The victim reported that her son, Davis, took her 1995 Pontiac
Grand without her permission. As deputies were investigating the incident, they
observed a vehicle pull into the driveway matching the description that they
were given. The male occupant, identified as Davis, got out of the car and came
into the residence and gave the victim her car keys. The victim still wanted to
press charges. Davis was taken into custody without incident. Davis was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Patricia Jane Biunno, 45, of Bullhead
City, late Monday (12/19) afternoon for aggravated domestic violence, a felony.
Approximately 4:10 p.m., deputies responded to a contempt of court in the 5300
block of Tierra Linda Drive. Deputies knew the male victim had an order of
protection served to Biunno on 12-8-05 and that she has violated the order
numerous times. Deputies contacted the 46-year-old male victim. The victim
reported that Biunno started banging on his front door and cursing at him.
Deputies contacted Biunno and took her into custody without incident. Biunno was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – VALLE VISTA
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Dale Ken Denisoff, 46, of Kingman,
Monday (12/19) evening for criminal damage domestic violence, a felony, and a
misdemeanor warrant for criminal trespassing issued by Kingman Justice Court. On
Wednesday (12/14) deputies responded to a domestic violence call in the 7600
block of Dome Rock Drive and contacted the 40-year-old female victim. The victim
reported that she and her husband, Denisoff, were separated. The victim further
reported that Denisoff was attempting to get into her residence when he broke a
window, then Denisoff left in his truck. Denisoff was not at his residence when
deputies attempted to make contact with him. Approximately 8:30 p.m., deputies
contacted Denisoff at a residence in the 8300 block of Highway 66 and took him
into custody without incident. Denisoff was transported and booked into the
Mohave County Jail.
DRUGS/DUI – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jason Scott Kane, 21, of Kingman,
early Tuesday (12/20) morning for possession of marijuana, possession of drug
paraphernalia and aggravated DUI, felonies. Approximately 12:20 a.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop in the 3800 block of Thompson Avenue and contacted
Kane, the driver. Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Kane. During
conversations with Kane, he admitted to have been drinking. A record check
revealed Kane to have a suspended driver’s license. Following the field sobriety
tests (FST’s), Kane was taken into custody. During conversations with Kane, he
admitted to having marijuana inside his vehicle. A search of the vehicle
revealed marijuana located inside a tin box and an aluminum pipe. Kane was
transported to the Mohave County Jail where an analysis revealed his blood
alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .148%. He was booked into the jail without
incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Peter Anthony Fortino, 49, of Lake
Havasu City, early Tuesday (12/20) morning on a misdemeanor warrant for contempt
of court issued out of La Paz County. Approximately 2:15 a.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 at milepost 187 and contacted Fortino,
the driver. A record check showed Fortino to have an outstanding warrant.
Fortino was taken into custody without incident. Fortino was transported and
booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
WARRANT ARRESTS – BEAVER DAM
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ashley Marie Halliday, 24, of
Mesquite, Nev., Robert Eugene Bill, 40, Shelly Rae Williams, 43, and Lyle Ocampo
Gaurmer, 58, all three from Beaver Dam, early Monday (12/19) afternoon. Halliday,
Bill and Williams were each arrested on a misdemeanor warrant for failure to
appear issued by Moccasin Court. Gaurmer was arrested for facilitation/contempt
of court and criminal nuisance, misdemeanors. Deputies knew Halliday, Bill and
Williams to each have an outstanding warrant. Approximately 3:10 p.m., deputies
attempted to contact Halliday, Bill and Williams at a residence in the 600 block
of Ironwood. Deputies were met at the door by Gaurmer. During conversations with
Gaurmer, he said that he and the kids were the only ones at home. Deputies
received consent to search the house and the trailers on the property. Halliday
was located inside a bedroom, while Bill and Williams were located inside a
trailer. Halliday, Bill and Williams were taken into custody without incident.
Deputies recontacted Gaurmer and took him into custody without incident.
Halliday, Bill, Williams and Gaurmer were transported and booked at the Beaver
Dam Substation and later transported to the Mesquite Jail. The children were
released to a neighbor/relative.
BURGLARY/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joshua Allen Wilson, 23, of Kingman,
early Friday (12/16) afternoon for burglary, possession of drug paraphernalia,
felonies, and a misdemeanor warrant for contempt of court issued by Kingman
Justice Court. Approximately 1:15 p.m., deputies responded to a theft in the
2600 block of Packard Avenue and contacted a 75-year-old female victim and a
72-year-old male victim. Both victims reported that two young adult male
subjects entered their yard where they were having a yard sale. The victims
further reported that the male subjects took a handful of items without paying.
An attempt to locate was issued to units in the area with a description of both
male subjects. A short time later, detectives located one of the male subjects
identified as Wilson in the 2400 block of Packard Avenue. A search of Wilson
revealed a marijuana pipe in his pocket. A few of the stolen items were
recovered. Wilson was detained and brought to the scene where the victims
identified him. A record check showed Wilson to have an outstanding warrant.
Wilson was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident.
DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Adam Lee Kanthack, 25, and Brandon S.
McElroy, 21, both of Kingman, early Friday (12/16) evening for possession of
drug paraphernalia, felonies. Approximately 4:37 p.m., deputies responded to a
disturbance near the Ranger Station on Hualapai Road at milepost 12. As deputies
arrived, they observed male subjects sitting in a parked vehicle in front of the
ranger station. Deputies contacted Kanthack. A record check showed Kanthack to
have four failure to appear misdemeanor warrants issued by Kingman Municipal
Court and contempt of court and failure to appear misdemeanor warrants, both
issued by Kingman Justice Court. Kanthack began running. Deputies caught up with
Kanthack a short distance later and took him into custody. Kanthack threw a bag
to the ground as he was running. Deputies retrieved the bag and located a
syringe and a metal spoon inside. Deputies contacted the driver identified as
McElroy. A search of the vehicle revealed a glass pipe located in a black case.
During conversations with McElroy, he said that he knew nothing about the pipe.
McElroy was taken into custody without incident. Kanthack and McElroy were
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mark Edwin Rhoton, 20, of Kingman,
early Saturday (12/17) morning for possession of drugs, possession of marijuana
and possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Approximately 1:53 a.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop on Northern Avenue at N Benton Street and
contacted Rhoton, the driver, and a 17-year-old male passenger. Deputies smelled
an odor of burnt marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Rhoton was detained.
A search of the vehicle revealed a partially burnt marijuana cigarette, a scale
and mirror, and two plastic bags with white powder residue which field tested
positive for methamphetamine. Rhoton was transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The juvenile
was released to an adult.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE/RESISTING ARREST – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Andrew A. Rodriguez, 40, of Golden
Shores, Thursday (12/15) evening for resisting arrest, aggravated assault on law
enforcement officer and disorderly conduct with a weapon/domestic violence,
felonies. Approximately 9:08 p.m., deputies along with a Fort Mohave Tribal
Police officer responded to gun shots fired in the 13000 block of San Luis Place
and contacted a reporting party. The reporting party said that he observed an
older grey Lincoln parked in a driveway at a nearby residence where he thought
the gun shot came from. The reporting party further said that a short time later
he observed the grey Lincoln vehicle leave the residence. Know one was home at
the residence where the Lincoln was parked when deputies attempted to make
contact. Deputies observed a spent shotgun shell lying on the porch. While
deputies were investigating the scene, the tenants returned home. Deputies
contacted the 35-year-old female, later determined to be a victim. During
conversations with the victim, the victim said that her ex-husband, Rodriguez,
drives a grey Lincoln. Further investigations led deputies to contact Rodriguez
at a trailer park located in Golden Shores. As deputies arrived, they observed a
male subject, later identified as Rodriguez, sitting in front of a residence
holding a shot gun. Rodriguez would not completely comply with the deputies
commands. Eventually a taser was used to place Rodriguez into custody after he
continued to resist orders. A search of Rodriguez revealed shotgun shells in his
front pants pocket. Deputies confiscated the loaded shotgun. Rodriguez was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation without
further incident.
AGGRAVATED DUI – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Cheryl Jo Broussard, 42, of Hot
Springs, Arkansas, Wednesday (12/14) afternoon for aggravated DUI, a felony.
Approximately 2:00 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Interstate 40 near
milepost 27 and contacted Broussard, the driver. Deputies smelled a strong odor
of alcohol on Broussard. During conversations with Broussard, she admitted to
have been drinking earlier. A record check revealed Broussard to have a
suspended driver’s license out of Arkansas. Broussard was taken into custody and
transported to the Mohave County District II Substation where an analysis
revealed her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .177%. She was booked into
the jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
RESISTING ARREST – CEDAR HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Steve Edward Ogden, 31, a transient,
early Wednesday (12/14) evening for resisting arrest, a felony, and the
following misdemeanors; false report to law enforcement, trespassing,
threatening/intimidating and disorderly conduct. Approximately 4:26 p.m.,
deputies responded to a disturbance at a business located in the 900 block of
Blake Ranch Road. As deputies were approaching the business, they observed a
male subject, later identified as Ogden, run into the business and immediately
turn around and run out, toward the deputies. Ogden would not comply with
deputy’s orders as he attempted to run through the parking lot. Ogden struggled
while deputies were attempting to detain him. A taser was eventually used to
place Ogden into custody after he continued to struggle. During the struggle,
Ogden sustained scrapes to his right knee, facial area and the palm of his left
hand. Medical responded and Ogden refused treatment. Deputies were not injured
during the incident. During the investigation, deputies attempted numerous times
to get Ogden’s true identity, as he kept giving false information. Ogden was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without further incident.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Leota June Price-Starbuck, 34, of Fort
Mohave, early Tuesday (12/13) evening for assault domestic violence, a
misdemeanor. Approximately 5:01 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance in the
1500 block of Lipan Boulevard and contacted Price-Starbuck. During conversations
with Price-Starbuck, she said that she hit her husband after she became upset
with him. Deputies contacted the 61-year-old male victim. The victim said that
Price-Starbuck hit him after he was confronting her. Price-Starbuck was taken
into custody without incident. Price-Starbuck was transported and booked into
the Mohave County District II Substation.
TELEPHONE SCAM – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s Office is warning the public of a telephone scam. A
victim has reported receiving a telephone call from the Health Department
wanting to give them a $1000.00. The caller inquiries about their bank account
number to make the deposit. The incident is believed to be an attempted scam and
the Sheriff’s Office would like to caution residents. Always use caution when
someone is asking about your personal information. If you suspect fraud, contact
your local law enforcement office.
FATAL ACCIDENT – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a single vehicle rollover accident
at Shinarump Drive and Coconino Road Tuesday (12/13) afternoon. At about 3:47
p.m., deputies responded to the scene of a rollover accident where the two
occupants were ejected from a green GMC pickup truck. Golden Valley Fire
Department and River Medical responded to the scene. Joseph Eugene Stinson, 24,
of Kingman was pronounced dead at the scene. River Medical transported Corey
Michael Margules, 24, of Golden Valley, to Kingman Regional Medical Center.
Margules was later airlifted to University Medical Center is Las Vegas as he was
in critical condition. As of Thursday morning, Margules is still listed in
critical condition. Department of Public Safety also assisted at the scene. The
accident is still under investigation.
DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ryan Christopher Lewis, 19, of Fort
Mohave, late Monday (12/12) afternoon for possession of drug paraphernalia, a
felony. Approximately 4:05 p.m., deputies responded to an agency assist in the
4300 block of Los Lobos Lane. Deputies were informed that there was a small
amount of marijuana sitting on a table in the garage. Deputies observed a
jewelry box located near the marijuana. Deputies received consent from both
residents to check the contents of the jewelry box. Deputies located a marijuana
pipe inside. During conversations with Lewis, he admitted that the marijuana and
pipe belonged to him. Lewis was taken into custody without incident. The
marijuana was weighed and deemed to not be an usable amount. Lewis was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
DRUGS/WEAPON OFFENSE – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Jennifer Aileen Mayhew, 34, of Salome,
late Monday (12/12) evening for possession of marijuana, possession of drug
paraphernalia, possession of weapon in drug offense, possession of a defaced
deadly weapon, felonies, carrying concealed weapon without a permit, contempt of
court warrant issued out of Parker Justice Court and failure to appear warrant
issued by Kingman Municipal Court, misdemeanors. Approximately 11:50 p.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for making an illegal turn onto
Northern Avenue. Deputies contacted the driver at the east corner of N Benton
Street and Northern Avenue. Deputies observed the passenger, identified as
Mayhew, moving things around where she was sitting. A record check showed Mayhew
to have outstanding warrants. Mayhew was taken into custody without incident.
Deputies located a .25 caliber handgun under the passenger’s seat. The make and
serial number of the handgun were filed off. A further search revealed a plastic
bag containing marijuana in the glove box and a pipe located in Mayhew’s purse.
During conversations with Mayhew, she said the vehicle belonged to her and that
she forgot the marijuana was in the glove box. Mayhew was transported and booked
into the Mohave County Jail. The driver of the vehicle was given a traffic
warning.
DRUGS/UNLAWFUL FLIGHT – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Brian Gifford Dugan, 22, of Kingman,
early Tuesday (12/13) morning for possession of dangerous drugs, possession of
drug paraphernalia and unlawful flight from law enforcement vehicle, felonies.
At about 1:00 a.m., deputies observed a parked Cadillac sitting partially in the
roadway on Bluebird Lane, west of Swan Drive. As deputies were approaching the
vehicle in their patrol unit, the vehicle took off and failed to stop at a stop
sign. Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the Cadillac, but the
vehicle continued without stopping. Deputies followed the vehicle as it headed
west on Andy Devine Avenue. Eventually the vehicle pulled into a driveway in the
3300 block of Cypress Street. Deputies observed a male subject running towards
the front door. Deputies detained the male subject, identified as Dugan, before
he entered the residence. A search of Dugan revealed a glass pipe and a plastic
bag of white crystal substance which later tested positive for methamphetamine.
A search of the vehicle revealed a scale and a pipe. Dugan was transported and
booked into the Mohave County Jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from
the scene.
DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Monty Leigh Montgomery, 49, of Golden
Shores, early Friday (12/9) evening for possession of dangerous drugs and
possession of drug paraphernalia, felonies. Approximately 5:45 p.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop near Maricopa Drive and Cibola Drive and contacted
Montgomery, the driver. A record check showed Montgomery’s license to be
suspended. Montgomery was taken into custody. A search of the vehicle revealed a
broken glass pipe and a plastic bag containing a white crystal substance which
later field tested positive for methamphetamine. During conversations with
Montgomery, he admitted that the pipe and drugs was his. Montgomery was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation without
incident. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Andrea Wynette Robinson, 29, of Lake
Havasu City, late Friday (12/9) evening on a felony warrant for failure to
appear issued by Lake Havasu City Justice Court. Approximately 11:45 p.m.,
deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 at milepost 188 and contacted
Robinson, the driver. A record check showed Robinson to have an outstanding
warrant. Robinson was taken into custody without incident. Robinson was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Ben Marcus Banuet, 23, of Fort Mohave,
early Saturday (12/10) afternoon for aggravated assault/domestic violence, a
felony, assault/domestic violence and unlawful imprisonment/domestic violence,
misdemeanors. Approximately 1:03 p.m., deputies responded to a domestic violence
call in the 4500 block of Cielo Azul Drive and contacted the 49-year-old female
victim. The victim reported that her son, Banuet, became upset with her and he
grabbed her around her throat and threw her against the hallway wall. During
conversations with Banuet, he admitted to assaulting his mother. Banuet was
taken into custody without incident. The victim further reported that Banuet’s
girlfriend was also assaulted by Banuet. Deputies contacted the girlfriend, a
19-year-old female. Banuet’s girlfriend reported that Banuet assaulted her and
she was unable to leave her residence in the 4500 block of Cielo Azul Drive
because of Banuet. Further conversations with Banuet, he admitted to getting
into an argument with his girlfriend and throwing her to the floor. Banuet was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Scott Andrew Nielsen, 44, of Kingman,
Saturday (12/10) evening for possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony, and
four outstanding warrants. Deputies observed a male subject riding a motor
scooter on the roadway. The motor scooter had no visible license plate.
Approximately 9:00 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 3100 block of
Lum Avenue and contacted Nielsen. A record check showed Nielsen to have two
felony warrants for probation violation and drug paraphernalia violation and two
misdemeanor warrants for failure to appear and interfering with judicial
proceedings, all issued by Kingman Justice Court. Nielsen was taken into custody
without incident. A search of Nielsen revealed a glass pipe with residue.
Nielsen was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The motor
vehicle was towed from the scene.
AGGRAVATED DUI – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Michael Patrick Seymour, 37, of Fort
Mohave, late Saturday (12/10) evening for aggravated DUI, a felony. Deputies
observed a Dodge truck pull abruptly from a parking lot onto Camino Colorado.
Approximately 11:20 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1600 block of
Rio Camino Loop and contacted Seymour, the driver. Deputies contacted Seymour
and smelled an odor of alcohol on him. During conversations with Seymour, he
admitted to have been drinking. A record check showed Seymour to have a
suspended driver’s license for a prior DUI. Seymour refused to perform the field
sobriety tests (FST’s) as requested by deputies. Seymour was taken into custody
and transported to the Mohave County District II Substation where he also
refused to submit to a breath analysis. A blood sample was taken from Seymour to
be submitted to the DPS Crime Lab for further analysis. Seymour was booked into
the jail.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Richard George Breeden, 48, of Palmer,
Alaska, early Sunday (12/11) morning for domestic violence assault, a
misdemeanor. Approximately 2:15 a.m., deputies responded to a domestic violence
call in the 3800 block of London Bridge Road and contacted an adult female
victim. The victim reported that her fiancée, Breeden, slapped her in the face,
thereby knocking her down. The victim further reported that Breeden struck her
behind her right ear. Deputies observed swelling to her ear and under her right
eye. Deputies contacted Breeden and took him into custody without incident.
Breeden was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III
Substation.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – MOHAVE VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Martin Juan Herrera, 28, of Mohave
Valley, early Sunday (12/11) afternoon on a felony warrant for failure to appear
issued by Mohave County Superior Court, a misdemeanor warrant for drug
paraphernalia violation issued by Bullhead City Justice Court and assault
domestic violence, a misdemeanor. Approximately 12:20 p.m., deputies responded
to a domestic violence call in the 10000 block of Copper Lane. Deputies
contacted and detained Herrera. Deputies located the victim walking eastbound on
Plantation Drive towards Tropics. Deputies contacted the 28-year-old female
victim. The victim reported that she and her former boyfriend, Herrera, had
gotten into an argument and Herrera yanked her by her hair. A record check
showed Herrera to have outstanding warrants. Herrera was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District II Substation without incident.
WARRANT ARREST – YUCCA
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Joshua Henry Appleby, 25, of Yucca,
late Sunday (12/11) afternoon on two misdemeanor warrants; both for contempt of
court issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal Court and Kingman Justice Court.
Approximately 3:55 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Alamo Road at
Apache Drive and contacted Appleby, the driver. A record check showed Appleby to
have outstanding warrants. Appleby was taken into custody without incident.
Appleby was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III
Substation.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Clifford Danny Burtt Jr., 41, of
Desert Hills, Sunday (12/11) evening for domestic violence disorderly conduct
and domestic violence criminal damage, misdemeanors. Approximately 10:10 p.m.,
deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call in the 1000 block of Vista
Drive and contacted a 61-year-old female victim and a 69-year-old male victim.
Both victims reported that their son, Burtt, was extremely intoxicated and he
became aggressive by yelling and cursing. The victims further reported that
Burtt punched a hole through a kitchen cabinet. Deputies observed a cabinet that
had been broken in the kitchen. Deputies contacted Burtt and took him into
custody without incident. Burtt was transported and booked into the Mohave
County District III Substation.
DRUGS – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Holly Ann Berry, 24, of Lake Havasu
City, Thursday (12/8) morning for possession of marijuana, a felony, and a
misdemeanor warrant for interfering with judicial proceedings issued by Lake
Havasu City Municipal Court. Approximately 7:08 a.m., deputies responded to a
trespasser in the 3100 block of London Bridge and contacted Berry. A record
check showed Berry to have an outstanding warrant. Berry was taken into custody
without incident. A search of Berry’s backpack revealed a plastic bag containing
marijuana. Berry was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III
Substation.
DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Arnulfo Angulo Chon, 27, of Lake
Havasu City, late Thursday (12/8) morning for possession of drug paraphernalia,
a felony, and open liquor container in vehicle, a misdemeanor. Approximately
11:40 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of Holly and San Juan.
Deputies contacted Chon and observed an open beer on the center console. During
conversations with Chon, he said the beer belonged to him. As Chon was exiting
the vehicle, deputies observed a glass pipe with burnt residue laying on the
driver’s seat. Chon was taken into custody without incident. Deputies retrieved
the pipe and beer which was approximately ¾ full. Chon submitted to a blood
alcohol concentration (BAC) test which indicated 0.001%. Chon was transported
and booked into the Mohave County District III Substation. The vehicle was
released to a friend of Chon's.
DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – MEADVIEW
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Matthew Pelton, 34, of Meadview, late
Thursday (12/8) evening for possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony.
Approximately 11:47 p.m., deputies responded to a male subject causing a
disturbance in the 30000 block of Haystack Road. Dispatch informed deputies that
the male subject, identified as Pelton, left in a grey Toyota truck. While
enroute, deputies observed the vehicle traveling east on Pierce Ferry Road.
Deputies conducted a traffic stop at milepost 24 on Pierce Ferry Road and
contacted Pelton. During conversations with Pelton, he said that he was at his
friend’s mother’s house earlier when he was kicked out. A search of Pelton
revealed a pipe with residue. Pelton was taken into custody without incident.
Pelton was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was
towed from the scene.
WARRANT ARREST – DOLAN SPRINGS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested James Lee Peasley, 50, of Dolan
Springs, late Wednesday (12/7) morning on a felony warrant for failure to appear
issued by Kingman Justice Court on original charge of possession of drug
paraphernalia. Approximately 11:10 a.m., deputies contacted Peasley in the 18000
block of Peacock regarding his outstanding warrant. Peasley was taken into
custody without incident. Peasley was transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail.
2 X’S DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Octavio Romero Parra, 28, of Fort
Mohave, early Wednesday (12/7) afternoon on two counts of possession of drug
paraphernalia, felonies. Approximately 1:30 p.m., deputies contacted Parra on an
unrelated incident near La Cuadra Drive and Los Gauchos Drive while he was
riding a bicycle. Deputies observed Parra to be quite nervous during
conversations. A search of Parra revealed a metal and glass pipe. Parra was
taken into custody, transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation.
DRUGS/ DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Donald Gary Sherer, 54, of Kingman,
Wednesday (12/7) morning for possession of dangerous drugs and possession of
drug paraphernalia, felonies. Approximately 10:00 a.m., deputies responded to a
male subject causing a disturbance in the 1300 block of Potter Avenue. Dispatch
informed deputies that drugs were taken from the male subject by someone at the
residence. When deputies arrived, they were given the plastic bag containing a
white substance which later field tested positive for methamphetamine. Deputies
contacted the male subject identified as Sherer. During conversations with
Sherer, he said take me to jail when asked about the drugs. Deputies spoke with
other witnesses and they concurred that the drugs belonged to Sherer. Sherer was
taken into custody without incident. Sherer was transported and booked into the
Mohave County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Daniel Lee Callahan, 41, of Kingman,
Wednesday (12/7) afternoon on a felony warrant for failure to appear issued by
Kingman Justice Court on original charges of possession of dangerous drugs and
possession of drug paraphernalia. Detectives observed Callahan driving a truck
traveling southbound on Bank Street. Detectives knew Callahan to have an
outstanding warrant. Approximately 3:15 p.m., detectives confirmed the warrant
and conducted a traffic stop at Bank Street near Gordon Avenue and contacted
Callahan. Callahan was taken into custody without incident. He was transported
and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was released to a relative.
WARRANT ARREST – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Raymond Vargas, 20, of Fort Mohave,
Wednesday (12/7) afternoon on a felony warrant for failure to appear issued by
Mohave County Superior Court on original charges of resisting arrest and
aggravated assault. Approximately 3:45 p.m., deputies were at a residence in the
1900 bock of La Riata Road on an unrelated incident. Deputies observed Vargas
inside the garage and deputies knew Vargas to have an outstanding warrant.
Deputies confirmed Vargas’s warrant. Vargas was taken into custody without
incident. Vargas was transported and booked into the Mohave County District II
Substation.
DRUGS/ DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Shannon Kay Kinsman, 44, of Kingman,
early Wednesday (12/7) evening for possession of marijuana and possession of
drug paraphernalia, felonies. Deputies observed a red 1991 Ford Escort,
traveling southbound on Andy Devine Avenue, with expired vehicle registration
tags. Approximately 7:09 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Andy Devine
Avenue, south of Interstate 40, and contacted Kinsman, the driver. During
conversations with Kinsman, she said the plates on this car do not belong to
this vehicle. Deputies confirmed the plate belonged to another vehicle. Kinsman
was taken into custody without incident. A search of the vehicle revealed a
marijuana cigarette and a plastic bag containing marijuana. Kinsman was
transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from
the scene.
SEARCH AND RESCUE – DOLAN SPRINGS
Mohave County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue Units responded Tuesday (12/6) evening
to a missing person in the Gold Basin area. The reporting party said that he and
his friend, Clarence Bahde, 68, of Lake Mead City, were traveling in Bahde’s
truck when they stopped in the area of Gold Basin. The reporting party further
said that Bahde began walking a dirt path, while the reporting party stayed with
the vehicle. Approximately 30 minutes later, the reporting party walked a short
distance on the dirt path and called out for Bahde without any results. The
reporting party drove himself to his residence in Dolan Springs and had another
friend join him. The reporting party and a friend attempted to locate Bahde
without success by driving back to the Gold Basin area. Initially the Kingman
Search and Rescue Units responded and started the search throughout the evening
and into the early morning. DPS Kingman Ranger also responded and assisted with
an aerial search. In the early morning the Bullhead City and Lake Havasu City
Search and Rescue Units relieved the Kingman SAR unit. Later that morning, at
about 10:30 a.m., Bahde returned to his residence safely. Bahde had walked home
through the desert.
THEFT – DESERT HILLS
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested David Joseph Forrester, 21, of Lake
Havasu City, late Tuesday (12/6) morning for theft of means of transportation, a
felony. Deputies observed a white Ford Thunderbird driving southbound on London
Bridge Road in the 3300 block. Deputies recognized the driver and knew that he
had a suspended license. Deputies turned their vehicle around in an attempt to
conduct a traffic stop. In the meantime, the vehicle pulled into a hotel parking
area at a high rate of speed and the driver bailed from the vehicle and ran into
a room. Lake Havasu City Police officer responded and assisted. Approximately
10:45 a.m., deputies located the driver, identified as Forrester in a hotel
room, hiding in the bathroom. During conversations with Forrester, he said that
he ran inside the room because he does not have a driver’s license. During the
investigation, deputies learned that the vehicle driven by Forrester had
recently been reported stolen to the Lake Havasu Police Department. Further
conversations with Forrester, he said that he borrowed the vehicle and he is
late in returning it to the owner. Forrester was taken into custody without
incident. He was transported and booked into the Mohave County District III
Substation. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Edward Clinton Southwick III, 49, of
Kingman, Tuesday (12/6) evening for possession of marijuana, possession of drug
paraphernalia, felonies, and on a failure to appear misdemeanor warrant issued
by Kingman Municipal Court. Approximately 8:54 p.m., deputies conducted a
traffic stop in the area of Chino Drive and Ligurta Road. Deputies contacted the
driver identified as Southwick. A record check showed Southwick to have an
outstanding warrant. Southwick was taken into custody without incident. A search
of Southwick and his vehicle revealed two pipes and a plastic bag containing
marijuana. Southwick was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail. The
vehicle was towed from the scene.
DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA/THEFT – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Trevor Austin Brower, 19, of Kingman,
late Tuesday (12/6) evening for possession of marijuana for sale, possession of
drug paraphernalia, possession of stolen property, felonies, and two warrants; a
felony warrant for theft and a misdemeanor warrant for shoplifting, both issued
by Kingman Justice Court. Deputies observed a male subject riding a bicycle
westbound on Northern Avenue. Deputies attempted to stop the male subject as he
continued riding and darting into an alley way. Approximately 11:53 p.m.,
deputies stopped the male subject, identified as Brower, in the 3000 block of an
alley way between Butler Avenue and Neal Avenue. During conversations with
Brower, he said that he did not stop because he has warrants. A record check
showed Brower to have outstanding warrants. Brower was taken into custody
without incident. A search of Brower and his backpack revealed an assortment of
items: a pipe, a scale, several small plastic bags and numerous plastic bags
containing marijuana. Brower was riding a grey 20” BMX bicycle which was
reported stolen to the Kingman Police Department. Brower was transported and
booked into the Mohave County Jail. The bicycle was released to KPD.
DRUGS – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Dustin Ray Cleary, 18, of Fort Mohave,
early Wednesday (12/7) morning for possession of marijuana, a felony.
Approximately 12:27 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop on Highway 95 at
milepost 238 and contacted Cleary. During conversations with Cleary, he admitted
to having drugs on him. Cleary gave the deputies a plastic bag containing
marijuana. Cleary was taken into custody without incident. Cleary was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Craig Alan Baker, 41, of Fort Mohave,
early Wednesday (12/7) morning for possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony,
and driving on a suspended license, a misdemeanor. Deputies observed a Dodge
truck traveling southbound on Highway 95 with a broken passenger tail light.
Approximately 5:00 a.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 1300 block of
Aztec Road and contacted Baker. A record check showed Baker to have a suspended
license. Baker was taken into custody without incident. A search of the vehicle
revealed a glass pipe containing residue. During conversations with Baker, he
said that he did not know anything about it or how to use one. Baker was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation. Baker was
also issued a repair order for the broken tail light. The vehicle was towed from
the scene.
WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Maria Rosario Garcia, 27, of Kingman,
early Monday (12/5) afternoon on a probation violation felony warrant issued out
of La Paz County Probation Department. Approximately 12:15 p.m., deputies
contacted Garcia in the 3600 block of Dove Lane regarding her outstanding
warrant. Garcia was taken into custody without incident. She was transported and
booked into the Mohave County Jail.
DRUGS – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Debra Mariedth Drean, 51, of Golden
Shores, Monday (12/5) evening for possession of dangerous drugs, a felony, and
two warrants. Approximately 8:23 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at
Powell Lake Drive near Supai and contacted Drean, the driver. A record check
showed Drean to have a felony warrant for drug paraphernalia violation and a
misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear, both warrants issued by Bullhead City
Justice Court. Drean was taken into custody without incident. A search of the
vehicle revealed a metal container containing a crystal substance which later
tested positive for methamphetamine. Drean was transported and booked into the
Mohave County Jail. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
DUI – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Arturo Gonzales, 25, of Kingman, early
Sunday (12/4) morning for DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .08%,
and extreme DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over .15%, misdemeanors.
Approximately 11:30 p.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at a business
located in the 2900 block of Northern Avenue. Deputies contacted Gonzales, who
was asked to leave by the establishment. Deputies observed an odor of alcohol on
Gonzales. During conversations with Gonzales, he said that he had too much to
drink. Further conversations with Gonzales, he said that he will leave with his
girlfriend who had not been drinking. Shortly thereafter, deputies observed
Gonzales driving a vehicle toward the exit of the parking lot. Deputies
approached Gonzales and had him stop the vehicle. Gonzales was immediately taken
into custody without incident. Gonzales was transported to the Mohave County
Jail where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be
.179%. He was booked into the jail without incident. The vehicle was towed from
the scene.
WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested Brian Keith Thomas, 34, of Kingman,
late Thursday (12/1) afternoon on a felony warrant for two counts of molestation
of child and two counts of sexual conduct with a minor issued by Mohave County
Superior Court. Approximately 3:43 p.m., detectives contacted Thomas in the 4400
block of N Bank Street regarding his outstanding warrant. Thomas was taken into
custody without incident. Thomas was transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail.
WARRANTS ARRESTS – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s detectives arrested William Stephen Smith Jr., 34, and
Mary Faye Graham, 28, both of Kingman, Friday (12/2) afternoon. Smith was
arrested on a felony warrant for theft of means of transportation issued by
Kingman Justice Court and a misdemeanor warrant for failure to appear issued by
Kingman Municipal Court. Graham was arrested on a felony warrant for possession
of drug paraphernalia and a misdemeanor warrant for failure to pay fines, both
issued by Kingman Justice Court. Approximately 2:09 p.m., detectives contacted
Smith at a residence in the 5900 block of Eric Drive regarding his outstanding
warrants. Smith was taken into custody without incident. Detectives also
contacted Graham, who was at the residence. A record check showed Graham to have
outstanding warrants. Graham was taken into custody without incident. Smith and
Graham were transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
DRUGS/DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – GOLDEN VALLEY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Christopher William Corbett, 29, of
Golden Valley, Friday (12/2) evening for possession of marijuana, possession of
drug paraphernalia, felonies, criminal damage and disorderly conduct/domestic
violence, both misdemeanors. Approximately 7:27 p.m., deputies responded to a
domestic disturbance call in the 3200 block of Chino Drive. When deputies
arrived they observed Corbett sitting on the front patio with blood on his left
hand. Golden Valley Fire Department responded and treated Corbett. Deputies
contacted the 57-year-old female victim. The victim reported that she became
frighten when Corbett started breaking and throwing things around. During
conversations with Corbett, he said that he was upset and he broke a picture
frame and a closet door. Corbett was taken into custody, transported and booked
into the Mohave County Jail without incident. As Corbett was being booked into
the jail, a search revealed a box containing a pipe and marijuana.
WARRANT ARREST – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Mary Kathleen Manfredonia, 51, of
Kingman, Friday (12/2) evening on a probation violation felony warrant issued by
Mohave County Superior Court for criminal trespassing and failure to pay fines
misdemeanor warrant issued by Kingman Justice Court for dog at large. Deputies
observed a lit cigarette being thrown from a passenger window. Approximately
9:10 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at N Bank Street and Kino Avenue.
Deputies contacted the driver and passenger. The passenger was identified as
Manfredonia. Deputies knew Manfredonia to have outstanding warrants. A record
check confirmed Manfredonia warrants. Manfredonia was taken into custody without
incident. Manfredonia was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail.
WARRANT ARREST – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Vincent David Ridgeway, 26, of Lake
Havasu City, early Saturday (12/3) afternoon on a misdemeanor warrant for
interfering with judicial proceedings issued by Lake Havasu City Municipal
Court. Approximately 12:52 p.m., deputies contacted Ridgeway on an unrelated
incident. A record check showed Ridgeway to have an outstanding warrant.
Ridgeway was taken into custody without incident. Ridgeway was transported and
booked into the Mohave County District III Substation.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – LAKE HAVASU CITY
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Russell Jensen, 50, a
transient, Saturday (12/3) afternoon for aggravated assault/domestic violence, a
felony. Approximately 2:15 p.m., deputies responded to an assault call at a
campsite in the area of Craggy Wash, approximately ½ mile east of Highway 95.
Deputies contacted the 48-year-old female victim and observed her head bleeding.
The victim reported that her husband, Jensen, struck her with a rock. Deputies
contacted Jensen. During conversations with Jensen, he said that he did not
remember striking the victim. The victim was taken to the Lake Havasu Regional
Medical Center where she was treated and released. Jensen was taken into custody
without incident. Jensen was transported and booked into the Mohave County
District III Substation.
AGGRAVATED DUI – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Evaristo Martinez Meza, 32, of
Phoenix, early Saturday (12/3) evening for aggravated DUI, a felony.
Approximately 4:49 p.m., deputies responded to Mountain View and Desert Green
Lanes in reference to a possible intoxicated driver that had been stopped by an
Officer from Bullhead Police Department. The Officer reported that the white
Toyota operated by Meza almost hit him while he was on a Police Departments
motorcycle. Deputies contacted Meza and smelled an odor of alcohol on him.
During conversations with Meza, he admitted to have been drinking a little bit.
A record check showed Meza to have a suspended driver’s license for a prior DUI.
Meza was taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County District II
Substation where an analysis revealed his blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to
be .295%. He was booked into the jail without incident. The vehicle was towed
from the scene.
AGGRAVATED DUI – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Heather Marie Miller, 30, of Fort
Mohave, Saturday (12/3) evening for aggravated DUI, a felony. Approximately 9:25
p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop at Aqua Caliente Drive and Huachuca and
contacted Miller, the driver. Deputies smelled an odor of alcohol on Miller.
Deputies observed a young female child sitting in the passenger sit. During
conversations with Miller, she said the passenger is her 10-year-old daughter.
Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Miller was taken into custody.
Miller’s daughter and her vehicle were released to a friend. Miller was
transported to the Mohave County District II Substation where an analysis
revealed her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .105%. She was booked into
the jail without incident.
WARRANTS ARREST – VALLE VISTA
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Bonnye Veralynn Corbin, 26, of
Kingman, early Sunday (12/4) morning on a felony warrant for possession of drug
paraphernalia issued by Kingman Justice Court, and two misdemeanor warrants;
shoplifting issued by Kingman Municipal Court and possession of drug
paraphernalia issued by Kingman Justice Court. Approximately 1:20 a.m., deputies
responded to a suspicious call regarding a parked vehicle in the 7700 block of
Old Mission Drive. Deputies approached the vehicle and woke-up the driver
identified as Corbin. A record check showed Corbin to have outstanding warrants.
Corbin was taken into custody without incident. Corbin was transported and
booked into the Mohave County Jail.
DUI – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Julie Anne Logsdon, 28, of Kingman,
early Sunday (12/4) morning for DUI, DUI with a blood alcohol concentration over
.08%, misdemeanors. Deputies observed a vehicle run off the roadway as it was
making a left hand turn onto N Bank Street. Approximately 1:27 a.m., deputies
conducted a traffic stop at N Bank Street and John L Avenue. Deputies contacted
Logsdon, the driver. During conversations with Logsdon, she said that she had
been drinking earlier. Following the field sobriety tests (FST’s), Logsdon was
taken into custody and transported to the Mohave County Jail where an analysis
revealed her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .109%. She was booked into
the jail without incident. The vehicle was released to a friend.
DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – KINGMAN
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Brett Edward Anderson, 26, of Kingman,
Sunday (12/4) morning for possession of drug paraphernalia, a felony.
Approximately 7:20 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance call in the 1700
block of Gordon Drive and contacted Anderson standing outside the residence.
During conversations with Anderson, he said that his girlfriend was upset with
him and would not allow him inside. During the conversations, deputies
repeatedly asked Anderson to remove his hands from his pants pockets. At one
point, Anderson would not comply with the deputy’s request. Deputies conducted a
search of Anderson and located a glass pipe. Anderson was taken into custody.
Anderson was transported and booked into the Mohave County Jail without
incident.
DRUG PARAPHERNALIA – GOLDEN SHORES
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Robert Thomas Skinner Jr., 34, of
Golden Shores, Sunday (12/4) evening for possession of drug paraphernalia, a
felony. Approximately 6:10 p.m., deputies conducted a traffic stop near Highway
66 and Powell Lake Drive and contacted Skinner, the driver. A record check
showed Skinner’s license to be suspended. Skinner was taken into custody. A
search of the vehicle revealed a glass pipe. Skinner was transported and booked
into the Mohave County District II Substation without incident. The vehicle was
towed from the scene.
4 X’S JUVENILE REFERRALS – GOLDEN SHORES
During an ongoing investigation Mohave County Sheriff’s Deputies have charged
four male juveniles with burglary. The 4 juvenile boys, ages 12, 15 and two 14,
are all residents of Golden Shores have been involved in or accessories to one
or more burglaries which were reported in the Golden Shores area. Specifically,
the juveniles were involved in one or more of the following residences that were
reported being burglarized on 6-23-05 in the 13100 block of Golden Shores
Parkway, 11-3-05 in the 12600 block of Cerro Colorado Drive, 11-11-05 in the
12800 block of Coconino Drive, 11-11-05 5400 block of Apache Drive, 11-18-05 in
the 5100 block of Casa Grande Drive and 11-19-05 in the 12700 block of Cortaro
Drive. Overall, the reported items stolen range from household electronics,
off-road vehicles and weapons. During the investigation, deputies learned that
one of the 14-year-old’s had an outstanding warrant. On 11-23-05 deputies
arrested the juvenile on a failure to appear felony warrant issued by Mohave
County Superior Court and transported him to the Mohave County Juvenile
Detention Facility in Kingman. Thus far, the following items have been recovered
and are being held for evidence; dirt bike, quad, BB gun, knife and DVD player.
Deputies submitted referrals on all 4 boys to Mohave County Juvenile Probation
on the burglary charges. This investigation remains active and further charges
may be pending.
DOMESTIC VIOLENCE – FORT MOHAVE
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Patricia Kay Sellers, 32, of Fort
Mohave, early Thursday (12/1) afternoon for criminal damage/domestic violence, a
misdemeanor, and three warrants. Approximately 1:06 p.m., deputies responded to
a disturbance call in the 4400 block of Calle Agrada and contacted the
36-year-old male victim. The victim said that his wife, Sellers, became upset
and struck his vehicle’s windshield with her hand and caused the glass to break.
Deputies observed an approximate 6 inch crack in the windshield on the passenger
side. Deputies contacted Sellers. During conversations with Sellers, she
admitted to hitting the windshield. A record check showed Sellers to have three
misdemeanor warrants; two on failure to appear both issued by Bullhead City
Justice Court and interfering with judicial proceedings issued by Bullhead City
Municipal Court. Sellers was taken into custody without incident. She was
transported and booked into the Mohave County District II Substation.
CRIMINAL DAMAGE – MEADVIEW
Mohave County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Johnny Virgil Rieb, 44, of Meadview,
Thursday (12/1) evening for criminal damage, a felony. Approximately 6:41 p.m.,
deputies responded to the scene of an accident in the 26400 block of Sandy View
Drive and contacted the 59-year-old male victim. The victim reported that his
vehicle was parked when he observed a Dodge Truck hit his vehicle. The driver of
the truck, later identified as Rieb, left the scene prior to the deputy’s
arrival. Deputies observed the victims 1997 Chevrolet Monte Carlo having damage
to the rear driver’s side portion of the vehicle along with the trunk, bumper
and driver’s side tail light. Deputies contacted Rieb in the 26800 block of
Driftwood Drive and observed the front passenger side of a 1978 Dodge Truck had
damage. During conversations with Rieb, he said that while he was driving he hit
a vehicle which was parked outside of a fence into the roadway. Rieb was taken
into custody without incident. Rieb was transported and booked into the Mohave
County Jail.
